    Book 3 in the Jacksonville Jaunts series centers around Bart Hamilton. Bart was once a teammate of Carlo Marini's on the cross-country team. Even as a senior in high school, Bart was unsure of his sexuality. He waffled between thinking he was gay, bi, and periodically straight since his early teens.     I think Neil's discomfort is more about who mom is dating than that she is dating. If it was a total stranger, he probably wouldn't be quite as upset. He gets picked on enough, his mom dating the vice principal, if it gets out, just adds fuel to the fire. Speaking of fire, I see fire in Sammy's eyes making an entrance. Lucas is used to people backing down instantly. I can't imagine Sammy doing that. I think Lucas will soon be planning a funeral for a testicle or two after Sammy hauls off foot or knee first.
