Doctor Gabriela Becker confirmed Madeline's ob/gyn's diagnosis of infertility. Colin tried to console Mads, "I know you really wanted a family, but there's always adoption." "
  2. I never knew or even traded messages with Carols, but this was a touching tribute, nonetheless.

    Empathy

Echoing the leaving us wanting more. But it was a nice story on its own about making a decision that a lot of us couldn't. One wonders how their life would be different if they were as strong and determined as Adrian.

    Chapter 1

I wouldn’t say I was freaked out, like @Bill W, but there was some level of discomfort with the voices from beyond the grave. Nice story though. Things turned out well fir Connie and Jerry.
  5. There will be more, just can’t say when. Haven’t written much lately because of the holidays, but I don’t plan on stopping completely. As long as the ideas keep coming.
  6. What makes you say that? Nestor admitted to killing Adrian. Got the rest of the facts wrong…. Oh, that’s why. Hehe.
  7. Gotta set up the next episode, right?

All true. Until the real Lee Wilson started contributing to the story. Hehe.

Thanks. I like where this one went.
  11. You will. Thanks.
  12. Exactly my intent. Moving slow on the latest chapter, but I’m still ahead of my editor/beta reader.
  13. Looking forward to reading all of these.
  14. Adrian Keller nervously awaited the jury’s verdict. They had been deliberating for nearly three days. Obviously, Adrian was hoping for a not guilty verdict. Every guilty party does, but he felt he had a pretty good chance. The evidence had been circumstantial, though his alibi was sketchy. The verdict could go either way. Near the end of the third day of deliberations, he was finally taken from the holding cell in the Penobscot County courthouse to courtroom one. He looked at the jury, some
  15. Detective Gennaro Saggio was happy he had Christmas off. The trade-off was that he needed to work New Year’s Day. Nothing really wrong with that, New Year’s Day is typically quiet from a major crime perspective. He settled in at his desk to catch up on some long overdue paperwork. He’d just finished transcribing an interview he’d done three days ago when his email alert sounded. A few seconds after opening the email, he thought, ‘I should have stayed in bed’. Although his next thought was,
  16. We return to Orono, Maine, where Detective Gennaro Saggio makes another appearance. This time, the killer is even harder to track down than was Parker Toliver, she of ‘The Fascinator Murders.’ Detective Gennaro Saggio’s first email of the new year announces a murder. Curiously, it is signed OOOI. The victim was a suspected arsonist, found dead in an abandoned warehouse. A suicide note was present, but the victim was handcuffed in a closed and chained tanning bed. The victim had previously been arrested, tried, and acquitted of first-degree murder, and arson. Apparently, someone didn’t believe he was innocent.
  17. Quite the long haul. My goof. I looked up blast phase, saw how few there were. Any Leukemia, 3500-4000 new cases a year for children in the US alone. So, yeah, it’s reasonable she would have encountered some. Just blast phase is probably 250-300 total in the US. Definitely possible to not encounter one until her fellowship.
  18. Thanks. Yeah, more kleenex times left.
  19. Interesting is good.
  20. Thanks. Like I said above, at least 4 more chapters to go. It’d be pretty boring reading if she lost them. Happy New Year to you too, and all of my readers!
  21. No, no more complaints from Jonas. You sure about that? You still have almost 14 hours left.
  22. Has to get wonderfuller first. Wonderfullest comes later.
  23. Ain’t it though? It gets even wonderfuller.
  24. I’m working on chapter 7. What do you think, maybe? Hehe
  25. In the darkest hours Alone with all your fears All you can think of are those happy days So much we take for granted But life's a fragile thing these days When the time is up all you're hoping for You're hoping for Is a miracle (a miracle) to see the daylight A miracle the sky so blue It's a miracle (a miracle) To find a new life a miracle To be back with you! Scorpions - 2009 7 Tuesday came and went. Colin and his family were anxious to hear what news
