    Karl brought Calvin and Barry in for their appointments a week after the funerals. Having child patients, we had a separate room with toys and books appropriate for all ages.     I interpreted it differently because of the later part: “I was gay for you the moment I saw you. And do you want to know the truth? It pissed me off at first I was thinking he didn’t think he was gay then.

    So, Liam is only gay for Mike. Guess he’s pan. Definitely does open the door for a double date with the girls now that certain thresholds have been crossed.

    I had another thought about where this was heading. Twister city. My thinking that Calvin got custody was only an interim state. Calvin Sr.’s life insurance goes to Diego in trust for the boys, because senior knows he adopted them, and wants them to benefit from it, not junior. When the money isn’t there he gives up his parental rights and the Padilla family lives happily ever after. Okay, so I can dream.

    At the very least, Diego should press Billy to explain exactly what he’s trying to gain by continuing to piss off the judge. I’m starting to fear this won’t turn out like we’re all expecting. If Billy is setting up an appeal, the kids are gone. Calvin will get custody and disappear without a trace before the appeal ever happens.

    I understand, and you're right. It's likely nobody else can do them justice. Aside from a hand-picked successor, like I said, maybe it's best to leave them as they are.

    I didn't really know him at all, except by reputation here. Still, I was shocked when @Sherye Story Reader told me. I know I've read a couple of his stories - there are just too many to have gotten too far in the relatively short time I've been here or on nifty. I have to echo what @James Carnarvon said about his stories never being finished and add that it's sad that he'll never see the comments that are yet to be written by people still reading him for the first time. Very sad. I wonder if the rest of the folks here might chip in and continue some of his unfinished work... Maybe it's best to leave them as they are. RIP Comsie.

    I wanted it to be way overboard. I'm afraid, I don't get this one The singer Meat Loaf sang a song 'Two Out of Three Ain't Bad." Two of the three people that I mentioned Cal still having, aside from Karl, she'd still have. It was a slight foreshadowing of Stephanie's departure.

    Things had gone too well lately. When the shit started hitting the fan, it was somewhat expected. Granted, it was extremely unpleasant. But then, when is shit ever pleasant? It started a couple weeks after Karl's ex, Stephanie, got remarried. None of us were impressed very much with the new guy, but nobody expected the level of asshole, he turned out to be. He had a temper—that was putting it mildly. Fortunately, Karl had custody and Stephanie didn't want to have anything to do with her kid
