  1. Misery loves company.
  2. Hmm, foot sweep. I suppose that might qualify for what's coming.
  3. Thanks. Glad it's going over better than some of the others.
  4. Indeed it does. And pours, and pours, and ...
  5. The three of us headed to the airport after school and a quick bite to eat. You guessed it: pizza. I sent a text to Brandon before we boarded the plane, and he told me where to go when leaving the terminal. He made it easy: we just needed to take the Hotel's shuttle to the Airport Marriott—which was pretty much at the airport. That's why they called it what they did, I guess. For that, I’m glad we had an idea where to go—this place is fucking huge and busy. I made sure to keep the kids close.
  6. Or maybe, it’s just fiction and doesn’t need to match real life.
  7. No wonder I only got a C in psychology in college.

    Chapter 6

Can the picture be any larger? And didn't Steve Miller sing that song, 'Gay Cowboy?'

    Chapter 6

Oooh. That would not be good. One thing that leaves me expecting potential troubles still, the 'G' word was never mentioned. Liam's and Mike's definitions of where the line is may not be the same.
  10. Chase Shepherd, in the bedroom, with a baseball bat. It's not obvious because I'm not consistently using dates, but this is occurring in late October/early November, so a baseball game wouldn't be in the picture. The trip to St. Maarten was over Columbus Day weekend, second weekend in October. Although a freak-out at the stadium could have been fun to write.
  11. Another insightful comment, as usual Anton. Fortunately, Duncan's suicide was just one of many news items that quickly gets forgotten by the public.

    Chapter 11 S2

Another wonderful chapter. I just wish there was a groan emoji for comment likes. 😺🤢
  13. Thanks for reading and commenting.
  14. That’s not true. Preschoolers are thinking.
  15. He wasn't thinking. And that's as bad as the author not thinking.
  16. All perfectly valid points. I'd say most of the unintended consequences weren't even considered by me, so I guess that's my fault. But the story goes on and these subjects are not really hit too hard after the next chapter.
  17. Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, all too true. Even one of these creatures remaining on earth is too many.

    Prologue

Ominous starts fast, I don't think it leaves too quickly.
  19. Your comments echoed a few others. It comes out in the sequel, but Carlo does continue the informal Tae Kwon Do lessons; just too late for him at this point in the story.
  20. Thanks for reading and your feedback. All your points are true. Perhaps I treat some of my characters too harshly, but I guess life isn't kind to everyone either.
  21. And I would welcome them. Can’t guarantee I’d use them all, but they’d be condidered.
  22. Damn. I’m not changing 4+ chapters just to make your guess wrong. 😝
  23. It isn’t just tough cases he’ll need to deal with. No spoilers, but a hint appears on the main story page.

    Chapter 46

I think the judge showed a little fairness in this chapter, he could easily have sustained done of Clarke’s objections. That doesn’t change the fact that he’s an asshat. No judge likes their rulings overturned, he may have to be somewhat fair to avoid that; even if it means in the end, ruling in a way that irks him. Can’t wait for more Billy wiping the floor with Calvin and his attorney, who apparently thought calling Raul was a good idea.
