True. In many cases the law is unfair, but I did look into what Georgia’s were in these situations. The Romeo and Juliet provision does indeed exist, although it applies, as the judge indicated, to a slightly different age range (14-15).

Definitely, they’re good at hiding their abuse. Although, sometimes the heat of the moment overrides that predilection.

Oh crap. I spoiled a later chapter. This wasn’t Sandy’s hearing. She spoke at Don and Mel’s. There was no punishment here because there shouldn’t have been. Should there have been a dollar amount for her bail? Maybe, but I goofed in my responses above. Sandy gets hers in 2 more chapters.

I guess I saw it a little differently. Except for knocking Michael down, the assault was quite minor. Regarding the sexual contact, she was a willing participant, and unless I read the degrees of sexual assault wrong, the contact with Michael met the criteria. Should she have gotten more time for the sexual actions with Mel and Don? Perhaps, but considering Don got off with 1 year vs. Sandy’s 15 months, maybe he got off easiest.

I hope you meant gang up. I don’t really have a whole lot for people to hang on. A washcloth, hand towel maybe. I doubt a bath towel will hang from it. Never mind a person. 😁

True, that’s probably the worst part of it. Perhaps the judge was a little too harsh on Mel, but it could have been 20 years.

My thinking here is, except for the pussy in the face, she was a willing participant. Getting the minimum sentences for both actions seemed reasonable.
