Maybe shorter, but chapter that reveals a lot! We were waiting for this moment between Liam and Mike to happen and I'm thrilled it happened but, a point that Mike has been bullied and banished for attempted kiss...makes me angry!

Welcome back @lawfulneutralmage, what a great action scene. The problem is that RMW and Jamie are still rather defensible, still waiting bad guys to come instead of chasing them. I was wandering, why are those creatures after RMW, why is he the main target - does he know something, or he has some ability to stop them?

Sounds like a plot for a good story!

Two ordinary guys in extraordinary story make this tale unique. Openly gay Owain, disowned by his religious fundamentalist parents is coming home at his father's funeral. Closeted gay Colin, belittled by his own mother and older brother is insecure, lacking in self-confidence about his sexuality and his body. Owain engages Colin's constructing company to renovate the house, and that's how their journey starts. Following this story has been like sitting in a traditional English pub and listening two very good friends speaking about their everyday life: ups and downs, insecurities, family issues, holidays. There is no big melodrama with these guys but, at the end of the story, when we look back, we can see how much they achieved, both personally and as a couple. Hope that author will find inspiration for book 2, as with Owain, Colin, their families and friends, you can never get bored.

Choosing to end the story with this famous quote from Bible, author is sending strong message to readers. Both protagonists have baggage from the past but, being 'forced' to share friend's house as roomettes make them help each other heal, leave the past behind and embrace the happiness which future brings them. Being able to finally accept the truth and proudly share it to the world freed them from the chains of past and shame. Story deals with abuse, prostitution, domestic violence; but it promotes family values, love and fight for better life.

Death of a father reunite the siblings and their significant ones with their mother at deathbed. Never healed scares from the past occur as unbreakable walls between them. Until the end of the story, many truths are relieved. As past cannot be changed, some mind enlightening makes a foundation for reconciliation and, hopefully, better future for all of them.

Written in unique, 'poetic' style, this amazing book brings story about three incredible characters whose scars from the past marked their lives. Scott, a romantic jock with heart as big as universe will influence the lives of deeply wounded Luke and Josh on a journey, he is going to heal himself and find the love of his life. This story touches the hard topics of abuse, homophobia, violence and suicide but it is love that prevails as unstoppable force. There is more than a decade since this story has been posted, but it is one of those universal tales that can be read at any time.

Oh sorry, did I switch them?! Yes, Andrew is the one who left, his story might be interesting... He reminds me a bit of Puskin's Eugene Onegin and his last encounter with Tatyana.

Dear @Headstall I enjoy reading your short stories again. This one is real jewel. I've been thinking, what kind of sequel I would like to read... If you find time and inspiration, I would like to see encounter between Anthony and Andrew, five or more years ahead. Anthony, happily married, with children, visiting town to support his husband who is coaching pupils in hockey...and Anthony, successful journalist and world traveler, alone, without permanent relationship... Written from Anthony's POV, it would be interesting to explore his view of his own life - what did he get and what did he lose, is he happy man or maybe a little bit bittered...

OMG, life changing decisions in front of Andre and Chris. Who would say a few months ago it was question whether they were ready to live together. And now, new house, new business...and adopting of teenage boy! Beautiful chapter and amazing development of the story.

Yes, but it's not the physical description that deceives me. It is more about character, its thoughts and reasoning, inner monologues, dialogs and interaction with others. Many authors write their characters as more mature, even wise for their age. Not that it is necessarily bad, it just makes me imagine older guys. 😁

Your story is not the first one I forget how young protagonists actually are! I tend to project a picture of young men instead of boys!

Such an ugly homophobic outburst from Den. He did it so loudly and roughly. with obvious intention to publicly humiliate Keith. There has been enough time from the match till pub gathering to confront him personally, but no, he had to show fag his place. Well, seems that Dan got totally opposite effect than expected as guys rejected him instead of Keith! Btw, what was Den doing at Fags for Football match?! Not that he was watching queers because 'he likes football'. It's like being at sports Pride! If you are homophobe, you don't go to such events... At least I think so.

For a moment, I thought Mike is not very bright, but that wouldn't be fair to him. He is in new home, living with new family and sharing room with handsome boy (which might be a 'huge' problem for horny gay teenager 😉 ), so, it's normal that he feels insecure and a bit frightened. Seems that he had rather unpleasant experience in previous school, so he switched off his gaydar and hides in his shall, accepting pushing at school just not to expose himself. He thinks of himself as ugly duckling, but Liam sees more (you'd be surprised comment). Their sexy game always goes a little bit further in every chapter. What is next, I wander?! 🤔😁

OMG, what turnaround in one chapter! It started as their usual routine, even with Jamie sleeping in Chris and Andre's bed, with showering together...I've been thinking how much similar Beau and Jamie are. There is something erotic in all that, but something infantile at the same time. And then, a big bang! Finding Oliver has already been a huge moment but, discovering the identity of the molester, that was completely unexpected. Fantastic turn of events, great chapter @Paladin. I'm eagerly waiting the next chapter!

It is derogatory when used by straight people, but gay people use it often in mutual communication. I think there is some dose of humor in this parole "Fags for Football", it is like showing middle finger to bigots and homophobes. I like it. 😁
