'Resigned' is ok for now. For an old Italian lady, with traditional upbringings, Catholic heritage, expectations of a big family...it went rather well. As long as Dante provide grandchildren, even from a little glass jar and Vaughan has secured incomes... 😂

Seems that bar incident is just a practice for what is waiting Manny in his new life! Regarding Rocky...well, I really don't know where all that homophobic shit comes from, but he will have to learn that getting and keeping good friends in his world is very difficult! Beautiful!!! Some people are just born to be parents, and there are some that don't deserve their children! It is nice how Andre and Chris are spreading their network of friends. Their positive energy simply attracts good people, and they are here to help each other - connected by love, compassion and support!

These situations where Pete interacts with other people (friends or adults), remind me that, beside all his maturity and uniqueness, he is still a kid! He is so open and honest, almost naive when speaks about his past, sexuality, mother...with all unpleasant details somebody else would hide. Pete's communication with others is still not shaped or limited by social norms or customs - he is like an 'open book'! It is so charming and nice that, despite difficult life, he hasn't lost innocence of a child.

Amazing story, even without announced epilogue, this story is actually finished. It is only pity that we cannot put review and award it with as many stars as possible. Witty humor, excellent writing style, deeply human story of two guys who has been rewarded with second chance for happiness.

Adoption!!! Well, I assumed that was going to happen but didn't want to speculate...just, let it come! We have already known that mother is piece of sh... work, but siblings!!! Ok, I can understand sisters don't like Pete being gay but hate him?! How can people so easily forget all good and care he did for them? Does being gay is all that he is now? Since the beginning of the story, we've been discussing how mature, brave, honest...guy Pete is! Just in this chapter, word 'hero' has been mentioned a few times. What impressed me now is his self-respect. It is so difficult to be man of principles and sustain from running back to bastard we still have feelings for. There are so many stories where victims are repeatedly forgiving and stay hurt again. For so young age, for somebody first time in love it is incredible. Pete is like and old soul in a boy's body! As for Mitch...he is digging, digging, digging... How could he so underestimate Pete?! Did he really think that playing dumb would be successful? 🙄
