I've been astonished that there is discussion still going on about this story, even after so many years since it has been published. But, then again, maybe I shouldn't be, so good story, with so many loyal followers, new readers at GA cannot avoid it. 🙂 I like the ending and the epilogue; you have put a big closure and satisfied all our curiosity regarding the protagonists. As I am a big sucker for fulfilling the justice, and a little bit of revenge (I know, I know...revenge might not be always ethical, but after so much suffering, it really satisfies me to see some good old The Count of Monte Cristo revenge 🙂 ), I would like to see that lousy high school principal, bully from the school (James Ackerman), the bully from the library, and other antagonists being put to justice (as you did with uncle Ray)!

Well, this story has been on my waiting list for a long time but, it has been @weinerdogrecommendation that finally made me read it. WHAT A STORY! What a journey, both for Andrew and for me as a reader. First chapters were hard to read – explicit scenes of molesting and abuse, bulling at school, I could almost feel the suffering on my skin. But, It has been injustice, constant neglect of system, authorities, school…generally oblivious people which made me angry, mad…wanting f*cking Carlsberg to burn in flames!!! And then, the journey starts. I was looking for a words to describe how one insecure and without self-esteem boy (infamous "cause I'm stupid" sentence), fight the obstacles, shows courage and unbelievable strength, wisdom and knowledge…but I will quote the author instead: “You’re the most courageous, persistent and energetic person I know. It took bravery to walk away from Carlsberg, courage to take to the road on your own. It took guts and persistence to stay on the road, day after day, in the rain, in the heat, hungry and weak and vulnerable. It took fantastic audacity to pretend – for a whole semester – to be a normal kid, while living a dual life as a homeless boy, hiding in the library closet. And it took courage to take me on as your husband, even though so many people didn't think it very wise.” I was rooting for Andy, I trembled, I was literally sobbing reading the scenes of revelation… This was such emotional roller-coaster ride that I was completely blown away at the end. I can offer my deepest bow to the author; this is truly a worth reading masterpiece.

Read between the lines!

@vanalas tales usually consists of two stories. The first one finishes with complete disaster, betray and painful brake up, while the second one consists of arise from the ashes, revenge, revelation, redemption and forgiveness at the end. We may call @vanalas “The lord of the Drama” here at GA. 🙂 You will find nowhere such strong and passionate emotions, betrayal, cruel rejections and brutal behavior, and, on the other side, when you think that no redemption is possible, there is never-ending crying, pleading, begging that, when you reach happy end, feel drained and emotionally exhausted (like a good, wild roller-coaster ride). 🙂 “Raging Love” is the second story of two and is one of the best in @vanalas treasury. If you like big old drama, elements of fiction incorporated in contemporary world, bad villains you really like to hate and good heroes you like to support till the end of the story, then, this is a story for you.

This story made a huge impression on me. I could almost feel all the pain, anger and suffering the main character feels. Only after discovering that author wrote out of personal experience, I could understand why abusing and molesting scenes are so realistic. It is the end, when Zack reaches the edge and point of no return, when he confront abuser, without fear for his life anymore because life he lived is not worth living…that give us final satisfaction, relief and hope for better future.

Logistically and organizationally sound too...but, is it really going to help Kyan mature or will he become just more dependent?! Just asking...

I thought the same, but then @Mrsgnomie made me rethink with this comment: I mean...Trudy is one sharp witted lady; I would not be surprised that she participated in joke all the time with cool serious face. After all, she IS Dayna's mother! 😜

Oh, but I'm sure Max already knows! As I wrote in some previous chapter - everybody knows everything except Kyan! It is only question will he play offended, surprised, angry, supportive or...altogether in a few chapters?! 🤔

Sooooo, Kyan, my boy, you have no idea how big allies you have in your in-laws!!! It won't past a long time since you became aware that Perry is not the only son they have, you are their son as well! And...kissing time is here...

Unforgivable is beautiful love story that deals with choices we have made in youth and their consequences. As a reckless teenager, Jason make a mistake which leaves scares on relationship with his brother and friends. A few years later, being hurt himself, Jason is confronted with Corey and Pierre at his brother’s wedding. On the other hand, hurt by his own father’s selfishness and cheating of his mother, Corey has thrust issue that can jeopardize his future with a repentant Jason. Will Corey learn to thrust again? You will find out reading this wonderful story.

This love story deals with some topics which are common here at GA. Love, self-acceptance, coming out, family rejection, separation and reconciliation… But its unique storytelling, special attention to details, beautiful characterization, wonderful dialogs, realistic characters and plots, dash of humor when it’s needed, put this story above others. @Ethan is intelligent and high skilled author with unique style and beautiful sense for details you would like to read over and over again. It is pity that there are only two stories by Ethan submitted on GA. He could give us so much more and I would read it all with great joy.

Great love story between Johnny, Native American, technician in theatre and Jason, conductor and musician. They fight some obstacles, strange intrude of their privacy, homophobia and custody over child but, they win all the battles becoming stronger and more in love. In a meantime, they become patrons and guardians of “lost” boys, some abandoned by their family, some fighting in cruel artistic world… Actually, Johnny and Jason form their own “village” where they can freely share their love and passion with others. For the good erotica lovers this is a perfect story. You will find some of the hottest sex scenes ever written here at GA in it. There is something for everyone – couples, threesoms, double penetration, endowed males, orgies…

Amazing story dealing with some serious issues in a way that is pure joy to read unlike some difficult and dark stories. Rick, a local plumber, fighting his childhood trauma, sexuality and outing… A brave guy standing opposite the selfish father, corrupt local authorities, greedy investors, fighting for the love of his life, for the future of his town and its citizens. If Rick is insecure and hidden behind self-built inside walls at the beginning of the story, at the end we see a real, self-confident hero. Maybe it is not for the review section but, I would like to ask @Parker Owens question about Rick’s raping. It is not mentioned in the story that he said about this to anyone – authorities, lousy father at the end, friends…not even to his boyfriend. There is nothing he should be ashamed for and, in my opinion, it would be healthy to let this out of his mind and share it with somebody. Especially because it is trauma that marked his life and had a huge impact on his psyche. Anyway, this story is big adventure and I recommend it with great delight.

I loved this story very much. Attraction of the opposites might be description of the plot. There are some serious topics like rape, family abuse...but, there are also some very funny and entertaining moments. Some controversial moments have been commented by readers. In my opinion, complete rape issue is not handled well by author. There should be more thoughtful approach to the topic, dealing with psychological trauma, lover support and help. On the other hand, there is one scene that I liked very much although it is not majority opinion as I could see in comments. The family diner with grandparents scene, when Trent shows up is fantastic. It reminds me on famous last dance scene from “Dirty dancing”, when Jonny (Patrick Swayze) shows up and say to Babies parents – “Nobody puts Baby in the corner”! Trent is a real hero in shiny armors in that moment.

This story is a little masterpiece. I’ve already known that @Headstall is genius in writing dialogues and (mis)communication topics but idea to put something that might be a multi-chapter story in one conversation is fantastic. Locked in room by friends, two separated lovers try to make a conversation and resolve issues that separated them. Starting with borders which seems to be unbreakable, story evolves so that you, as a reader, are going through the same feelings (anger, disappointment, doubts, questionings and revelation at the end) as protagonists. I love series, but bringing complete potential series in one chapter dialogue is work of art.

At least bring those "average" people back, they are such endless inspiration to tease you in a pause between chapters! 😜🤣
