@Joseph OHara thank you very much for your comment. And yes, the next story is coming. Not sure how long it might take, as I'm also working on some other projects, but it definitely has been started. 🙂

-- Chapter Twelve -- ‘Warlock!’ the Dark Lord, Septimus, bellowed from the Great Hall, his voice echoing along the stone corridors. ‘Where in the name of Majid are you, you snivelling maggot? Tell me what is happening!’ Before long the Warlock was brought before Septimus and forced to his knees in front of him. This was becoming a daily occurrence, as the Dark Lord’s impatience grew. All that Willem could ever do was repeat what he had said on each of the previous days, telling his cap

@pickuptoy thank you.

@Darryl62 thank you for the comment, and yes, you're on the money. It was actually started in 2002. I think at the time I may have passed the old Darlinghurst station during one of my infrequent Sydney visits but I have a feeling I modelled "this" fictional station on something different. I can't quite recall ... it was 24 years ago! LOL As for Adam and his various comments, which threw @Summerabbacat of the scent, perhaps I was just trying to also throw a few red herrings in there to throw some readers off the scent ... or maybe not ... haha! Anyhow thank you for your contribution ... for adding your comment, and for your previous Mardi Gras efforts!

-- Chapter Eleven -- The first sign had been a whisper, no louder than the faintest of breezes, a soft rustle of movement as it drifted out from the village of Elderwood, in the Valley of the Ancients and below the Caves of Erasmus. It travelled over mountains high and down valleys deep, to waiting eyes and ears and hearts. Candles guttered in their cups as it slipped beneath cottage doors and crept through shuttered windows. Winter-thin beasts snoozing in their sheltered places shiv

-- Chapter Ten -- At being roused from his sleep by young Christos, Chandar grumbled, but soon quieted when he was told that there was news from Carronne and that he must come. ‘What do you mean by news? What news?’ the old man complained, as he struggled to sit upright. ‘A rider came to us at daybreak,’ Christos replied. ‘After telling us there was news from Carronne he collapsed and fell from his horse, but he is being cared for by the knights. When he wakes, we will know what i

@Summerabbacat sorry to hear all that. Some days can be just like that, can't they?

HAHAHA! @Summerabbacat that is GOLD! Thank you! I'm sure that many of the references you have included will be lost on most folks . . . but damn! That was good!

Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 15 - Feb. 21)
Mark Ponyboy Peters commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Well, our Aussies finished the Winter games with a record medal haul of 6 medals ... not bad for a country that is mostly desert! LOL Three Gold, two Silver and a Bronze! So go Aussie go! And not to be a pain, but I did add two chapters to The Prisoner of Carronne last week. Just sayin! lol Keep up the good work though. It's always good to see a summary of stories so we can go check them out! -
-- Chapter Nine -- The knights and their friends in the village talked well into the night, gathered around a roaring fire that sent embers flying high into the darkened sky each time another log was thrown upon it. The villagers plied their visitors with all the food and drink they desired, and a merry time was had by all. After Luther and Garrett and their companions had arrived, some of the older boys took their horses and led them to a stockade, where they were fed and watered and

@drsawzall thank you!

@Summerabbacat but it needs to be during a battle!!! Perhaps it could be Xenia's cousin, Xena Overthatop, instead? The leather-clad warrior princess from the land of Xen? Or perhaps Ruby could be feeding the troops and he goes back for "seconds"? I like the red-hot poker idea . . . but it needs to be a spear, or maybe an enchanted sword?

-- Chapter Eight -- For many days now an old man had maintained his lonely vigil, perched upon a ledge high above the Valley of the Ancients that stretched out before him. He was keeping a watchful eye on all roads leading into and out of this hidden land. This was the place that was the spiritual home to the Knights of the Order of the Dragon. It was the birthplace of Erasmus, the very first knight of the Order, and was the place where the most sacred of relics were kept. It wa

@weinerdog sorry I didn't answer this earlier. The Warlock is the prisoner of Septimus, who is using the Warlocks visions for his own ends. But the Warlock **may** have a few tricks of his own up his sleeve.
-
@Summerabbacat oh yes, he's a piece of shite, but he will get his just desserts . . . I'm just not sure how exactly, just yet! That'll happen in the next and final story for this series. Any suggestions as to how you would like to see it go down? LOL
-
@Summerabbacat or perhaps he simply saw the real identity of the mysterious prisoner?

-- Chapter Seven -- It was only just in the nick of time that the riders and their horses scrambled up the side of the ravine and into the shelter offered by the overhanging boulder, as the rain suddenly became heavier and the winds much stronger, lashing the grassy plains below with all their fury. ‘Well done, Jamal,’ Luther offered as the four riders stood there on the ledge holding their horses, with their soaking clothes clinging to their bodies. They were gazing out into the grey

-- Chapter Six -- ‘What is it, boy?’ the Warlock asked his companion as they came to a halt, unable to proceed any further and breathless from their hurrying along the dark tunnels. After escaping the approach of the Dark Lord and his men they had travelled the length of the corridor, reaching a junction of several tunnels. Carel advised the Warlock that there was a weak light coming from up ahead of them, but he was reluctant to proceed further down that path, as something told him th

-- Chapter Five -- The point of the sword lowered and Luther looked up into the eyes of the intruder standing above him. ‘A little birdie told me I would find you here,’ the deep, though soft, voice said. ‘I hope that he has told more than just you, my friend,’ Luther replied in a whisper, as he threw back the blanket which covered him and Jamal and sat upright. The stranger’s gaze shifted from the knight to the sleeping form of the boy and then back again. ‘I thought yo

@Summerabbacat very fitting! Thanks!

-- Chapter Four -- As the knight and his page rode deeper and deeper into the Forest of Graysmark, both grew quiet while they watched and listened to the things around them. On several occasions Jamal was startled by high-pitched screams, which seemed to be coming from some place quite close, and on other occasions he was certain that he saw movement in the dark depths of the thick bushes, which grew right up to the edge of the road they were following, or heard the sounds of what he t

-- Chapter Three -- As quietly as he could, Luther dressed in his tunic and pulled on his boots, before slipping outside into the cold morning air. It was still that time of the morning when it wasn’t quite day. It was that coldest time just before the dawn, when the sun was still to rise, yet the world was bathed in an eerie half-light before the village roosters would soon herald the new day. Luther had been troubled by what he had seen in the night, the vision of Rae kneeling
