    Chapter 30

Monica is preggers, knows it (she’s had tons of experience under her belt at this point), and is hoping to rope Dr. Cliff into being Daddy. It’s possible he is but Cliff’s no fool and will demand a DNA test. Wild times with Erin. Is he really a nurse or been faking it after binging several seasons of Grey’s Anatomy? We’re not certain what he is but we know he is a grade A sleazeball. Not much of Kyle this time except his involvement with drug ODs. So surprising. Shaun and Sam’s developing brudders relationship has been one of the more satisfying plot points in the story. They’ve come from actively despising each other to ignoring and now joshing, joking, and discovering shared interests. It seems natural at this point for Shaun to follow through for Sam and encourage his groupies to flash themselves. We knew the trajectory of Shaun and Jesse’s relationship would be Shaun introducing Jesse to his brand of S&M. I get the ick over it but I also get it. Nothing is simple or easy in these characters’ lives and I’m here for every chapter.

    Aberration

Not to worry. You’re building a great story and if it takes time then it takes time so give yourself some grace. There are many mysteries to be revealed and we’re here for the full ride.
  4. In an earlier comment I mentioned how I could see the D character being played by Clarence Williams III in his Mod Squad days. A weird coincidence especially as Clarence is fairly uncommon nowadays. 😁
  5. Euphemism No chance. Having a baby trumps everything. He’s mooching off his girlfriend and making money as Ronnie’s new delivery gofer so he’s doing ok in Josh’s world. No inkling from Josh if he has a preference for the baby’s gender but if he does and it’s different well then maybe. 10) If Joey was doing good work and then fired when they found out then maybe he would have a case. But Joey screwed up by ordering the wrong part and delayed the repair. Most states have At-Will employment meaning either the employer or the employee can sever the employment relationship at any time as long as the termination isn’t for an illegal reason. Did Joey reveal his inability to read and write before being hired - No, he did not.
  6. “They bickered over the name for a minute, finally settling on something neutral—Clarence D.—with a random profile pic of a collie sitting in a canoe.” Thank you for the easter egg.😊 Joey is slowly letting go of his past. He did not insist on sending an email or messages out to his family and doesn’t seem guilty over it. I have a feeling he will be contacting them at some point but the urgency for doing it is fading. Joey’s brief reciting of his history may be awakening in him that his family doesn’t think much of him or cares as much about him as he does for them.

    Chapter Nine

After a brief interlude it’s ACTION time. First it’s an all hands on deck police raid that’s energetic though poorly executed. Our heroes have an almost tearful moment with their hosts then rocket themselves out the back seeking a conveniently parked ATV that’s fully gassed and waiting for this moment to shine. The manhunt includes dogs out for blood - so much for Joey’s amazing connection with animals - and lots of bullets flying around yet the boys slip slide away unscathed while madly dashing through the woods. Joey’s thoughts and guilt eventually causes him to fall off but with calm words and reassurance from D his world is righted and they proceed until they discover an abandoned shack in the middle of nowhere. Both the boys channel their inner McGivers by creating a fishing kit from nothing and bringing a dead radio back to life. Who knew batteries left in old cabins would have more juice than the ones I recently bought and hours of YouTube viewing could have practical uses. The boys sex it up while their meal overcooks but it doesn’t matter as their world is righted once again. City boys in the country is ripe for all kinds of drama, comedy, sweetness, and more and our boys deliver it. Their future is uncertain but they have each other regardless of the obstacles @mastershakeme lays in their way.
  8. Joey’s pastoral fantasy. The colors. Farm animals. Making an animal friend with a cat that’s very choosy. Selecting and wearing costumes. Engaging in physical work that’s neither brain twisting or taxing. Assisting D organizing and making minor repairs. Simple hearty food. Spending hours observing and being with D. Learning more about D’s story (which may or may not be true). Sex with D and sleeping with him. Be grateful for this peaceful interlude naive little one, it isn’t going to last.
  9. You responded 🤯 I’m equal parts pleased and a little sick to my stomach, easily explained as I’m very introverted. 🤓 The first story I read of yours was “The Boy on the Porch”. Fell in love with the characters (just the good ones!) and have been skipping around catching up with your others. Never will I turn something you’ve written down. There are lots of us readers who rarely or never comment and I wanted to speak for all of us and let you how much enjoyment and pleasure your stories bring.
  10. ““Claude Moreau had been picking on Ed since they started kindergarten together nine years earlier. Ed's defense was always to call Claude what he himself was accused of being. [Claude] "You know, you've called me that for the last time. I'm sick of it." [Ed] "How do you think I feel? You start it every fucking time." Claude turned and walked away, Ed turned to George, "Sorry about that. That asshole has been harassing me forever."” Nine years. Nine years of harassment and bullying and being picked on. Imagine it happening every school day. Not anymore. My sympathy is with Ed.
  11. Farm Boys. Did not see that on their bucket list. A good chapter where we can see Joey transforming into a willing accomplice. Favorite scene was D patiently walking Joey through the alphabet in the diner. I always visualize characters while I’m reading. I haven’t figured Joey out yet but D I’ve got - Clarence Williams III, back in his cool days when he played Linc on Mod Squad. Linc and Julie (Peggy Lipton) made a good pairing and they could have killed off the Pete character in the pilot and I wouldn’t have minded.

    Chapter One

Please oh please oh please finish ‘Permanently Black & Blue’. It feels close to having a conclusion and I have been completely captivated with the characters and utterly vested in their story.

    Chapter 11

I can understand Killian being prickly. Most or all of his possible witnesses and leads have clammed up, Adam and Steve are fighting so his home life is turbulent at best, and he’s still hurting over his breakup with Asher. Kane is one of the few dramaless characters remaining. His life is in flux right now and it doesn’t appear it will change in the near turn. Seems like the right time for a visit from spectral Seth or maybe even Aunt Judy to give hints on what to do next.

    Chapter 7

I’m hoping for at least an occasional 3-some but I really want them to become a throuple. Let’s see how this plays out.
  15. Chapters 1 & 2. Chapter 1 has Geoff reminiscing about his first gay experience with David as a youth and Chapter 2 he meets up with David in current time.
  16. Resurrection is one of my favorite movies and Burstyn was a marvel in it. Nice to know their are other fans of it.
