I now live in Texas. I was born in Missouri with some ancestors being from Kansas and others being from Missouri. All have been in the US since at least the 1800's and likely even before. I don't know for sure. What I know for sure is English and Irish, though English is definitely dominant. My paternal grandmother as well as my maternal grandfather were both of English descent. Whether there are other sources I'm not sure, but all the surnames from either of those two are English. My paternal grandfather, who I know the least about, is at least part either of Northern English or Southern Scottish descent as the surname Walker can come from either one. And no, that is not my surname, because I was half-adopted. My maternal grandmother was a mixed English and Irish ancestry. There are likely others, but I have not done any research.

I've been wondering if and how religious cults in the US can be eliminated. Unfortunately, it's not simple at all because of the 1st Amendment. Thus, outright banning would be unconstitutional unless it was amended to allow cults to be banned. However, that would also mean that the government could rule that entire denominations as well as nondenominational churches are cults and thus banned. And yet, cults like the Branch Davidians and the Strong City Cults as well as the various Mormon-based cults are (or were) exceedingly dangerous. I wish the answer to this problem were known, because more and more lives are being ruined because of cults.

That's something that happens in Mark's stories these days. I'll be looking forward to the next one, but I think Mark said something about two chapters of HMS beforehand. I am really hoping that Cody f**ks with Brian's head. He definitely deserves it after everything he's done. I never have understood where the man went wrong. That was a gruesome chapter but good nonetheless. The Gates of Hell, as expected, were most unpleasant. However, the fighting is quite similar to how such battles were fought in the Colosseum and other arenas throughout the Roman Empire. I also think this chapter is meant to be a preview of the next chapter's bloodshed. I have a feeling that the Gahdar won't be the only ones shedding blood.
