So so close but no cigar.... almost there though

Thank you. I read a lot though only comment when I feel drawn to the characters. All of Laura's stories do that but I felt compelled to comment as these particular characters reminded me of a kalidescope, tilt them just so and it all looks different. I like the family theory and that the feelings shared were Misaligned... i think Brad wanted to create some distance between him and Lyn by introducing Alex.... perhaps Brad then went on to develop feelings....of the Brad kind for Alex, due to a misconception re his lifestyle. Brad continues to be drawn to bright and shiny and country clubs. However Alex was focused on Lyn immediately. We know little about Alex and I feel that whoever his EX is that will be an important factor. Brad intimated he knew some but not the full story but would share with Lyn, again why not. OK so Brad had recreated his version of a family trio and perhaps a realization or an "oh f***" moment is coming where he scrambles to perhaps to bring about a downfall, bringing the OG trio back together again so he can blame the demise if the new trio or rather his pending Marriage to Bella, on Alex and Lyn? Absolvoing him of responsbility. Alex reminds me of one of my fav characters from a particular book. Quiet blunt stoic and patient. He talks when he wants you to hear what he is saying and he is always going to bring you flowers from glasshouses. Cant wait For the next chapter. Monday for me is so far away.

I do like the chapters from the past, i have to say that Sharp Bitter and Sour is quite interesting. More so because of what is not written. Its like a choose your own adventue but not. I also find the thoughts made by each reader, as the story unfolds, interesting. So my thoughts A giggle does not decide gender? Who has the deepest secret hiding in which closet and mores the point why when they are all college kids finding their way have they each decided on particular facades to put forth. Adoration is not love and if that is how Brad finds his fleeting moments it is less about gender? Lyn is so intrenched in Brad being straight because that is more simple that the truth. Yep, many many kids in life hide their looks, feelings and reactions out of fear and ridicule but at the same time many mirror the behaviour of peers to foster the outward appearance to everyone else that they are the same and not different. So that could be why Brad in particular exudes that type of behaviour so freely and Alex joins in. If you dont look you dont see. Alex is still water, Brad is Brad and so not my fav and Lyn kinda makes me want to smack him upside the head.

Brad is bright, shiny and full of shit. I am curious about his motives of pushing Lyn and Alexander together. Luke is a distraction, it is almost like Brad wanted something equally shiny and new to present to Lyn and Alexander. However I think Luke will end up the catalyst for the cracks and eventual shattering of each of their own delusions. And I am hoping not in Brads favour. Lyn keeps taking the easy road its easier to look at what you cant have as love and what is present as hate. I dont think he emotionally loves Brad, he loves what he represents as an ideal. I think he will soon see that Brad is empty and shallow seeking ongoing reaffirmations from anyone he surrounds himself with and will hopefully level the playing field. Also cant wait to hear more about Alexanders path to where he is. He was married and it fell apart, why? He has had feelings for Lyn for a very long time.

Oh how I love the unspoken .... humans are not the glue, emotions rule, and I am a strong believer in ones ability to delude being a powerful motivation and as such, are key to some of our more complex emotions. The unobtainable and the hated. Love it.
