That's how I picture it too. Chase seems like the submissive type in private. For all his dominance and bravado when playing the drums I think in private he'd rather get pounded than do the pounding. Pardon me for what might not be an appropriate analogy, .

The feeds don't seem like they'd serve any useful purpose for you Kevvers. That's cool. Not everything is for everyone. It's good that you recognize when you need something to help you out instead of just buying every new thing that comes along. I'm the kind who buys almost everything new that comes out. Some are winners. Many are losers. It's the geek in me that pushes me to try new things. I hope my inner geek never leaves me.

You make some good points Kevin. There are some stories I read because the story and the sex is good. LiS is a perfect example of that. Steve is a master at describing sex in a way that makes it highly erotic. I almost feel as if I'm that proverbial fly on the wall watching it all happen. It's stories like that which keep me highly aroused even during the scenes that aren't sexual. Of course overall the story has to be compelling enough to hold my interest otherwise I might as well read a purely pornographic story and I don't like those at all. Then there are other stories like LTMP where the suggestion of sex is fine with me. I appreciate CJ suggestions that something is about to or did happen of a sexual nature and letting us fill in the details with our imagination. That way we can each interpret what happened in our own way. I'm sure what I imagine is different that what you imagine. That's a good think IMO. LTMP is more of an action/adventure story so to me graphic sex scenes would not be appropriate. No more than they would be in a mainstream novel or movie like the Indiana Jones series of films. So yes, I have imagined what Brandon and Chase do in bed. I've also thought about Helen and Barbara getting sexual. Although not nearly as much as I've thought about Brandon and Chase or even Eric and Jon's encounters with all those girls. I'll admit to having a hangup when it comes to lesbian sex. I have problems dealing with it and I know I'm not alone in that regard.

I've got sex-buddies and friends. The two shall never meet. Having sex with friends adds so many layers of negative complexity to the relationship. Ultimately I value friendships more than I value sex. That's an attitude I've developed over the decades and it's based on real-life experiences.

Lucy's comments were a good primer on RSS Feeds. The methods for reading them have evolved so much since then. Firefox supports RSS Feeds natively, although it helps to use an extension to manage them. Google has Google Reader which is about the easiest way to subscribe to, and read, RSS Feeds that I've ever seen. I was surprised to learn that you're a bit technophobic Kevin. Is that still the case? I figured every young person was comfortable with technology. Anyway, if you're interested in learning how to use RSS Feeds I'd be happy to teach you. Since you have to look at all the forums though RSS Feeds on GA might not do you much good. But they're a great way to keep up with all the websites you frequent (blogs, news sites, discussion forums, et cetera) without actually visiting all those sites, unless you find something you want to comment on. It's a bit of a double-edged sword though in that the website logs can make it seem like the site isn't getting as many visits if a large percentage of people are getting their info via the feeds. Then again, if you factor in the log entries for the feeds it all sort of balances out.

Brandon was the outcast. He had my sympathies from the very first chapter. Over time he's gained my respect for stepping so successfully into a role that has to tough to fill. Taking over as lead singer for a popular band and being accepted so openly by the brothers and the fans. Now he has even more of my respect for keeping his wits about him and landing that plane safely. None of what I feel about Brandon has anything to do with his love affair with Chase. I like Brandon just for being Brandon.

Don't count me as one of them Tim. Friends with benefits is fine with me. Why kick the dirt in shame? If what you did fits in with your sense of morals then don't be ashamed about it.
-
I'm really surprised to be the only one who appears to make use of the RSS Feeds.

Think again Mike. I'm gay, I'm a geek, and I'm not the only one!

I recently discovered the RSS Feeds for story announcements. I find them to be the most reliable and convenient method for me to learn about newly released stories or chapters. If you're using RSS Feeds please let us know what reader or notification tool you're using. I'm using Feed Sidebar for Firefox. It's not perfect, but it's the best solution I've found so far.

The paparazzi were already there because Telluride was a popular spot for celebrities. CJ commented that Instinct arriving by military jet was sure to fetch a hefty price for those photos and that turned out to be the case.
-
Is it the paparazzi at the airport? They seem to be hanging around the airport like turkey vultures around the updrafts created by a tall building. We know the photo of Instinct arriving in a military jet sold for a lot of money. Surely someone must suspect something is up and will be there to capture any further events that will, no doubt, make it into print or, more likely, onto the interwebs. The only hole I see in this guess of mine is The Scar wouldn't know exactly where the band, or some part of it, was going. Just that they'd left Telluride.

Don't get down on yourself Tim. Ultimately you've got to live with yourself and your morals. So whatever works best for you is what you should do. Don't let others be your guide as to what's right or wrong.

For me it was something fun to do once whilst strapped to an instructor. It wasn't enough fun to ever want to try it again. I'm with Benji in his sentiments about why jump out of a perfect good plane.

You need a 0-1 hour choice. I replied to an ad on craigslist. The guy called me. I expressed some reservations. He said he'd come over and if I didn't get a good vibe he'd leave immediately. Turned out he lived less than five minutes away from me. I got a good vibe, we had sex, then he left. The whole thing, from craigslist to the start of sex took much less than a hour. I've never done anything like that again. It was very atypical of me, but hey...I was very horny, so the smaller brain overruled the larger brain.

There's something about the maturity, and especially the wisdom, in older and intelligent men that really intrigues me. Sure, I like to flirt with guys of all ages. But I'd only consider an older guy when it comes to a long-term relationship. Not too much older though. Three to seven years older is about right for me. My former partner of 17 years fell into that age range. We'd still be together were it not for his untimely death-by-hurricane. As for muscle. Blech! Muscle is for cars, not guys.

They're not all that bad. His first, The Snow Garden, was actually quite good. The second, A Density of Souls, was far too complex. Even a character guide wasn't enough to keep up with everybody. Plus the plot was entirely unbelievable. However as with all his books it does have gay characters in it. So far the reviews I've seen for his third book, Blind Fall, have been agonizingly bad. I'll judge that for myself once I'm finished with my current book.

That's a shame it costs too much for you to indulge in something you love to do. At least you get to do it once in awhile!
-
Wow, that's almost as thrilling a story as Brandon's except yours was for real. I'm curious, do you still fly? Or is that something you've given up?
-
My guess is Christopher is preoccupied with the hope that his third book, Blind Fall, doesn't suck as badly as his sophomore effort did. Latest audiobook: John Adams (Unabridged) David McCullough

I agree with both YaP and Low Flyer. As long as you're in the moment your adrenaline is pumping and you're able to do what needs to be done. Call it part of your body's self-defensive mechanism. Afterward, when you're safe and realize what you've been through your normal emotions take over and odd things can happen. How the hell did you get yourself into a situation like that CJ?

Well, I haven't posted here for awhile. I guess I'm celebrating several things. At least on some level it's a celebration. Beta-reading of Chapter 13 for Tim is complete. It's going to be a good read and I'm thrilled to be part of it in some small way. Corvus is up to Chapter 3 in his new 1st person story, Dismantle the Sun. I wish I were working for him, but he's got a great beta-reader already in Procyon White. Gotta love her! That's certainly worth celebrating. Plus it looks like he's going to have another smash hit on his hands, so I'm happy for my friend. I finally have an installation date for my new front door. The old one got kind of mangled last month and I haven't felt totally safe here even though the place is in fact quite safe. That is absolutely worth celebrating, although I'll celebrate again once the door is actually installed. Is that enough stuff to celebrate? Yup!

You are quite right. My bad. I should have been reading with my glasses on, but I usually leave them off unless I'm working. At least this time I enlarged the type in my browser. In the chapter and in your quote those looked like periods to me, but clearly they're not. Oh well.

It seems to me as if the "no risk of it occurring" thought could be taken either way. That's because it's written as a stand alone sentence. There's nothing to logically connect it to the preceding or following comment. I think it's simply evidence of CJ playing mind games with us again! I guess we'll have to wait and see.

There's no mention of "second", "demonstration" or "Salt Lake" in Chapter 38. Maybe it's in an earlier chapter. You'll have to forgive me for not pursuing this further right now. It's all your fault of course!
