The more I read this story, the more it is very interesting. Will they be able to save the old Master from death? I guess we will have to wait for the next chapter. Thanks Geron.

Love is love is only love!

We can only hope even if some days it looks like we are going backwards. I watched Ken Burns’s documentary on PBS last night, will history repeat itself ? Thank Carlos, let us hope that the future brings humanity forward and that we will still have an habitable planet tomorrow.

I have been with my boyfriend, now husband for 43 years and you just told our story. We got married almost 10 years ago, so we were together 33 years before. We live outside of a city on a large piece of land and we could not be happier. We are both retired enjoying the peace and quiet of nature and its bounty. Canning tomatoes and watching the fall colors slowly getting on all the trees. We will have to get ready for our 37th winter here and we are still very much in love. Thank you for telling our story.

I am so afraid that it will happen and we do not have an escape. The earth is our only Ark right now and things are going in the wrong direction.

When you describe relationship between two people the way you did, you were so right. I still live a relationship like that after the 43 years of my being with my better half and it is so fulfilling and so fruit full even if we never had children. In 1979, two gay men could not adopt or have children through a surrogate like today. We made a lot of progress as a society on this aspect, but we are going the wrong way for the environment and we have to wake up and get working, otherwise, the ark that we are living on will be lost for future generations. Sorry for the pessimist that I am, but we have to be realist, it may be too late already. The big lobbies of coal, gas and petrol are corrupting our leaders, we have to vote for people who believe in the changes needed to correct a situation that will take a long time to be corrected. The children will have it worst than us sadly. I like this story. it shows to a certain extent what they were leaving behind and the consequences of it.

In view of what is happening right now in the US, that speech is so so appropriate and it will stay that way as long as a minority try to impose to a majority, rules that goes against their right. The right to live in a safe environment and to be able to walk without being afraid. Too many killings are happening and to pretend that you are trying to protect "a life" that does not exist yet without protecting all lives is very "rich". There are too many orphans and to much poverty, start there first.

I just discovered this story a few days ago. I am retired, so I read it completly in a 3-4 days.I just could not leave it. Wow it is very good and very well written. Thank you Gary and I will keep reading those other stories that you published. Happy writing, I am a fan. camerio
