You skipped a few chapters/books. LOL.
The premise behind Streak was the two major athletic threads in the story: JJ's skating season, and Zach's/De la Salle's ongoing football winning streak.
Thanks Jim. I've read the first few chapters, and I seem to be in a pattern where the action is light in the beginning, but ramps up later in the story. We'll see if that happens with this one.
I think it's a good thing for them to play hockey together. With Wade's schedule, it's important for him to have scheduled leisure activities. I'm sure that the nickname will stick, and I'm sure it will continue to annoy Wade. :-) The problem with nicknames is that once they're established, it's real hard to change them.
I think that JJ simply doesn't want to be bothered with something as plebian as driving when he can get other people to do that for him.
I think that Will has shown a very strong work ethic in school, and I think that will ultimately translate into some sort of career. At the same time, he's largely oblivious to what a job is like for "normal people".
Thanks!
I can't see Alex as a long-term partner for JJ for the same reasons it wouldn't have worked with Alex and Wade: Alex needs to marry a woman and produce an heir.

“What time do they get in?” Matt asked me. Brad, Will, and Stef were flying in from Chicago.
“Will called me a couple of hours ago and told me they were about to take off,” I said. “That will put them in here about 3pm.”
“What are we going to do for dinner?” he asked.
“We can go to that restaurant around the corner, or we can order in pizzas,” I said. “I guess I need to hire a cook.”
“Want me to hel
Thanks! I'm not sure that Zach can really reach his "dream" since he seems to have two of them (to be an NFL player, and to be openly gay) and they aren't compatible. But he can probably achieve one of them.
Thanks Gary. I think that Brad's approach, which is direct and upfront, will appeal to Matt, because he'd do the same thing. We've seen Matt do that, where he puts himself in the other person's shoes and takes their perspective into account.
Thanks for the review!
There is a long way for Brad and Cam to go before they can be considered in a stable relationship, and there are a lot of obstacles in their way. Still, love and chemistry may overcome those.
I think Zach is showing amazing restraint and maturity with the way he acknowledges that it's only fair for Will to be able to be with other people since he can't completely commit to Will.
Thanks for the nice review; I'm glad you like the story!
I'm not sure that there is a great power discrepancy between Brad and Cam. On the one hand, Brad has power and money. But Cam has youth and beauty. Which one is more important in the gay community?
Zach has an ego that is very large, and quite possibly unhealthy. That's not unusual, and it's not that unlike JJ.
Zach's isolation may be sad, but it's actually part of who he is. He's a guy who just doesn't let a lot of people get close to him.
I don't think Devon is overly worried about Will's age. The last thing he wants to do is piss Will off.
I think that clearing the issues with Cam about age and Matt is a classic Brad maneuver. He'll take the bull by the horns and deal with the issue head on. In this case, I think it worked out pretty well...at least so far.
Most of the CAP main characters are, at their core, pretty nice guys. Zach isn't. He's kind of a prick, a real primadonna. So it's easy to see why you'd be ambivalent about him.
Thanks Maarten. I think once guys hit about 20, it's all fair game. Everyone brings different things to a relationship.
You must be tired. Men hit their sexual peak around 19. :-)
You raise, indirectly, the whole thing about the power differential. In this case, Brad brings power and money to the table, but Cam brings looks and youth. I can see those balancing out.
Besides, what's the difference between Brad getting with a hot young 22 year old guy, as opposed to the typical mogul who marries a hot 22 year old chick?
Jinty,
I agree with you. I think that for someone like Cam, who's been in shitty relationships with younger guys, having someone like Brad breeze into his life must be like a breath of fresh air.
I think that Zach has his cadre, who he's intensely loyal to, and he could give a fuck about everyone else. There's something both mercenary and endearing about that.
I don't think that really makes much of a difference. Will is legally an adult, so he can own property. If anything, that would make him seem like he's older than 18.
In reality, this is a very public family. It seems to me that it wouldn't be too hard for someone to figure out Will's age (a Google Search). I'm betting that someone like Devon wouldn't worry about doing that, especially when Will's family seems to be fine with it (as DaddyDave noted).

We could hear the music from the bar below, we could hear people in the street talking as they walked by, and we could hear the banter of the guys in line waiting to get in. It was all just so much white noise to me, as I sat there at the table with Cam, getting to know him, and appreciating his handsome looks.
“You smoke?” I asked, as I pulled out a joint.
He chuckled. “Oh yeah.” That cracked me up, so I lit the joint.
