Funny? I think it would be hot. I'll bet Tebow would be totally into some kinky man love.

19 yo to lose his virginity in public as "performance art"
Mark Arbour replied to Zombie's topic in The Lounge
I agree with you. The thread was started when the guy said he was going to lose his cherry live. I'm curious as to whether he did it or not. It's like starting a thread about elections, then whining when it gets resurrected to announce the results. So when someone hears results on this, please let those of us who are still marginally intrigued know.- 122 replies

Which is why you don't see me writing about it.

I'm glad I could make your Monday a little better! I think that Zach and Will are predestined to have problems with his football career IF he makes it, and IF they become a real couple. Maybe they already are, but I think they're holding back enough to make it work...currently. Brad was very calm, and I'm glad you caught that. He seems to be more centered, and more relaxed about things.

Routing? As in working on their wood?

Facts can be so annoying at times. I think the major factor here is that when I step into the political world, it is not as familiar to me as the social and political world of that era, so it means more research, and it means that plot devices require a lot more thought.

That's an excellent way to explain it. I remember visiting Belgium with a friend of mine when I was in my 20s, and we stayed with his relatives for a night. They only spoke French. Neither one of us was even close to fluent, but we managed to communicate. The lady was somewhat outraged that cultured young men like us didn't know how to speak French. I explained that the closest French speaking community to us was in Quebec, and reminded her that she wouldn't really think their French was actually "French" anyway. Playing with fire; that's part of it. I think there are two other things that come into play here. The first is that it's probably unrealistic to think that Will is always going to have protected sex when he's in a relationship. I think that's especially true for him (and any guy) who is in his teens, because there's a hormonal rush, and a general feeling of invincibility, that makes them take the chance. If anything, I think I may have shown Will being too concerned about safe sex. The second part is that this is Will's way of proving to Zach that he trusts him. Zach knows that Will is nervous about it, but the fact that Will is literally putting his life in Zach's hands has to resonate with him.

Except frigates named Apollo had a very unpleasant tendency to sink. From Wiki:

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, and the conversation at the restaurant. I'm not sure if Zach is poisoning Will's mind about Matt, but I understand why you got that impression. Zach definitely emphasized that point. I think, though, that pissing Will off (and pushing him away) probably was a big motive for Matt, so I'm not sure that Zach is wrong. Regardless, I don't think that aspect of the conversation had much of an impact on Will, since he already thought that anyway. A lot of burning property...too funny. I think we have to give Will some credit for doing better with that. The GMC is still safe and sound.

I think the explosions will diminish, but never disappear. Will isn't JP (And even he had his moments) and he has a temper, but hopefully he won't be this dysfunctional when he's older. I think you're right about talking about the rages, and I think that's key step, but I also think time is another vital variable. It takes time to get over all this.

Yeah, but I've done the 69 themed chapters before. I get bitched at if I get repetitive. :-) I think that Zach will probably treat Will as good as he can, as long as it doesn't interfere with his own goals, of which football is paramount.

I'm glad I could make your Sunday morning better, but based on my own appreciation of church, I'm not sure it's much of a compliment to say those chapters were better. ;-) I didn't really intend for there to be a parallel between Chris and Zach, but I can see where that may be, or at least seem to be.

Will really does draw on Wade for moral guidance. I wonder how that will work out when/if Wade moves away for law school? And thinking back to chapter 55 reviews, it was good for me too. ;-)

We don't know, probably because Brad wasn't very focused on it. He's not into Chris enough to worry about those details.

Thanks Omar! Some good estate planning on their part. By this time (2001) Google was looking like a good bet.

Well then, I'll give you an update. The last two chapters are done, and are in final editing/beta reading. Some members of my team actually take vacations (except for Sharon) . This isn't Walmart, even though I pay them almost as well. So I expect we'll have the next chapter out within the next 4-5 days, and the final one within a week of that one.

Good choices Jeremy. The Daddy Warhols number was instrospectively mournful: perfect. And how great to have a snippet from Urinetown!

I think Zach brings some good, relevant insight to the situation, but more importantly, he hit a chord with Will. It's one thing to go through tough times, but now that Will is starting to cope with them, it's got to be motivating to think that this is as bad as it's going to get. I agree with you on the rage (as I said in an earlier review response), and think that the key here is self-awareness. I don't see Will ever losing his temper, as it's probably genetic, but his objective to control and manage it is a good thing. I think that if you're dealing with a guy like Chris, the only safe way to do it is to have his number.
-
I'm glad you liked the dialog and situations in this chapter. Here's my personal favorite, from Stef (appropriately enough): “Has the earth realigned, such that when you tell Will to do something, he now does it?”
-
Thanks for the review! I think this is your first, no? I love getting cherries. ;-) I'm glad you liked that conversation. I think it's funny when people in the US assume no one around them speaks their (foreign) language, even though they're usually right.

I think the family is being very reasonable about this. Will is pissed off, and has a right to be pissed off. Right now, he wants Matt to stay away from him. The other family members probably think that's a good thing, but they test him to see if he's moved beyond that anger stage yet. He's not. And the fact that he recognizes that he has anger issues, especially right now, is probably a good thing. Chris is one of those people who could be a lot of things. He could be a sheep in wolf's clothing, like Cody. He could be a wolf. Tough to tell.

Thanks for the review! If Zach's life goes like he plans, he's in for some tough challenges: a hot, successful football player who has to keep his sexuality a secret.

I've done the 69 comments in the past. It got old for me. ;-) I agree with you about "normal", and I loved the thought of them doing one of those cheesy hop-on hop-off tours.

I think that Brad and Will both realized after 9-11 that they needed to treat each other better, and they needed to help each other out. Hopefully, that change sticks.

November 3, 2001 Tribeca, NYC It was cold in the morning, here on the roof. I thought that wearing my sweats would keep me warm, but I was still shivering. I was sitting on the same bench my father had been on last weekend, staring off into the void where the twin towers used to be. I’d been up here for at least an hour, my eyes focused on the emptiness, while my brain relived those horrible events of 9-11. I cried again, got angry again, and then cried some more. This was gett
