“We’re going to get there in time for dinner,” I said as the Escalade limo exited the freeway. There was an accident on 101, so we’d taken I-280 instead. It was a beautiful freeway, but we were too stressed to enjoy it.
“I’ll just be glad to get there,” Travis said. The Escalade took Page Mill Road until it got to our drive, where the gates magically opened and we zoomed through them into the fortress
Even if these men left their children no money, they would still end up rich. Part of that world is the contacts that you have. That makes doors open for you. And in any event, even though they say they aren't leaving their fortune to their kids, that does not mean they won't be doing a lot for the kids while still alive.
Actually it probably wouldn’t be a good investment since the real estate markets were inflating, on their way to the huge economic meltdown of 2008.
Maintaining a condo in NYC would not be an issue. They’d hire people to do that.
