I read this, smiled, frowned, got sad, and ended up content. What a masterpiece.

Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from the author who crafted "Ceramic Dreams." That was great!

OK. I finally figured it out. I was looking at the wrong info. And we're back to that patience thing again. 😀 Sorry about that, Myr.

Hey there GA World! I'm writing a story where the main character ends up at Harvard. I'm vaguely familiar with how that university works, but I would love to find someone who actually experienced it and who can give me some pointers. I promise I won't burden you with more questions than you want. So if you went there, help me out. 😀

Great story. I love the interactions; the dialog was terrific. Seriously, who would name their twins Stephen and Stephanie?

Thank you so much! Building characters is a lot of fun, and it is so meaningful when it works. Thanks for noticing! This was such a meaningful comment, because it is a compliment to my esteemed editor on this project: @impunity Nothing makes an author happier than hearing that their stories are well written! Thank you! I try to have fun with dialog, and this story seemed to just play into that. As many of my stories as you've read, I'm pretty surprised you didn't figure out this one was mine. I'm choosing to take that as a huge kudo, in that I was able to be sleuthy enough to fool even you. 😀

Thanks Myr!! Mine doesn’t show that, but maybe that’s because I’m at Epic and the next step is Grand Epic Scribe?

Myr, stepping into this thread a little late, but I also have a couple of questions about the rankings. 1. Is there a set number of points that we earn to get to the next level? 2. If so, what are those points? 3. How do I know how many points I have. On a perhaps related issue, I noticed that this February I will have been a member for 20 years, before some of the current members were even born. You have the patience of a saint. ❤️

September 12, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Brad “Would you like another drink?” Ramon asked Jake and me. This would be my fourth one and it was only the middle of the afternoon, but I decided I’d earned a little drunkenness today. “That would be great, Ramon,” I said. “Thanks.” “I’ll have sparkling water,” Jake said. I frowned at him for making me feel like a lush. Our pleasant ‘couple time’ was interrupte

Not sure what ride-or-die means. Help me out with that one. JJ and Tiffany's bond was pretty severed after she quit as his coach after his victory at the nationals. He tolerates her at best. I'm pretty sure that deep down, JJ sees Carullo's relationship with this new guy in CT as a betrayal, especially after JJ bought him a house, car, etc. The only way I see him relying on Carullo at this point is if Carullo breaks up with that dude, and even then...

That’s a pretty apt description, although I don’t think any of the other people you mentioned want to talk to him either.

I think they're all a bit blind-sided and shocked.

September 12, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Will “Will,” I heard Casey calling. He’d followed me out of the dining room. “This is not your fault.” “Looks like I’m down to two brothers now,” I said, shaking my head sadly. “I have done so much for him, put up with his endless bullshit, and in the end, it doesn’t matter to him at all.” “I suspect that he was just lashing out at everyone,” Casey said. “No fuckin

Day 1: Sunday: Brooklyn Pier, NY The limousine cruised across a sea of asphalt, following the signs that said ‘passenger terminal’. This sure as fuck didn’t look like a passenger terminal; it looked like the kind of place where they loaded and unloaded cargo containers, but without the cranes. But as confusing as it was, I knew we were at the right place, because towering above the pier was the MSC Meraviglia, a massive cruise ship. “This thing is over 170,000 tons,” Roger said as h

October 3, 1801 HMS Endymion Cowes, England “I will trust you to find our anchorage, Mr. Austen,” Granger said as Endymion made her way past St. Helens. “Aye aye, my lord,” Austen said. Granger walked up to the binnacle and took out his glass, surveying the anchorage at Spithead. The fleet was evidently on blockade duty so there were only a few ships anchored, making their job a bit easier since there was no need to maneuver past the huge sh

I am sure. Brad’s parents were Janice and Kevin Carmichael. Alexandra Carmichael is Brad’s wicked stepmother. His Carmichael grandparents are dead. We know nothing about Janice’s family.
