Hmph. I had a lovely city being powered by a nuclear reactor, my sims were happy and educated, and then they all decided to become dumb and stop going to school for no reason at all, and what do you know? Boom! Nuclear radiation everywhere It definitely needs tuning in some areas, but overall it is a very amusing game

I do know of games that get pirated all the time (The Sims is probably one of the biggest ones out there, because paying well over a hundred dollars just to get the game is kinda ridiculous...) Honestly, the new SimCity IS quite a fun game, but I do hope that the future content isn't going to be paid releases for 'new content' (READ: Features that should have been there already)... I also dislike that there is now pollution cleaning building... It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to start a game from scratch without making a ton of ground pollution, and then you're stuck with dirty areas forever (Trees (Plant Forest option) is supposed to slowly help, but I mean, we have environmental scrubbers and stuff)... I DO agree that the always online thing is annoying, as I occasionally will get the game not being able to load my city/lose parts of it/etc because of their instability...

Well, I am off until 11:45PM Saturday night I shall join you (with a new character, cause I don't think transfers exist) on Tonberry Ok, so I am level 4 so far, my character is Lightcaster Darkling on Tonberry hope to see you!

mine is fully non-existant, but then I'm rather oblivious to most things... I swear I could walk into people and be all appologetic, but in my head be wondering 'where did they come from?' I also have to say, it is REALLY hard to tell with canadian guys my age... none of them seem to have any concept of physical space, and are as likely to high-five someone as to hug them...

What do you do when you're feeling depressed, or stressed?
Foopy replied to WatchPatRun's topic in The Lounge
Mostly music. I'll also immerse myself in a new book while listening to music, and that will usually help me distance myself enough to rationally analyze things/feel better. -
To Fanfiction or not Fanfiction: That is the question
Foopy replied to Lily Velden's topic in The Lounge
I do personally like fanfiction, as anyone who knows me here should know I don't really 'ship' much, cause I'd really like just about anything HP... (I've read a lot of them ) The most amusing one for me is always Harry Potter/anythingavengers But yeah, not sure what it is. This could be one of those Twilight/Justin Beiber things... Some people are totally obsessed, and some are horrified, and all for no real reason -
For the beta weekend that's coming up, for those of us that are invited, what server do you plan on using? Lets co-ordinate so we can try to play together
-
the actual show starts on the 15th, but there are numerous vids already posted on their site Also, I'm Lightcaster ingame
-
no date that I could see yet Only on Beta Test 2, and usually there are 3-5 for MMOs
-
So, this is one of the Beta weekends for the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn MMO game, and while I can't say much due to silly NDA things (seriously, I really don't understand NDA... What is another company going to do, copy your code??? Nothing is ever new anymore, no matter how much you change it >.< Sorry, rant over) I CAN say this: SQUEEE!!! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!

It's pretty good, and I have great faith in Trion (the developer). There are a few things here and there they are working on fixing, but that's true of anything new
-
Hi there, thanks for reviewing I'm currently in the process of going through and changing quite a few things, as part of my plot ran into itself in a later chapter. I'm hoping to have the revision done soon, but I'm not very good at time...

I know! So adorable (Back off, he's mine! hehehe )
-
my first SimCity game was on the SuperNintendo This one is actually fun, but I dislike the DRM.... Also the small city size is annoying, but meh. I'm more a solo player usually, but if you want I can set up a group area

How would you react to the situation in the linked video? http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/mom-delivers-two-sets-of-twins-on-same-day-18535350

Russian meteor shower causes blast; hundreds injured
Foopy replied to JamesSavik's topic in The Lounge
The reason this meteor was 'unexpected' is because it is reletively SMALL. Yes, SMALL! The major gov'ts of the world mostly track potential meteors with the capabilities of destroying entire countries, or potentially even continents... They are also usually made of rather dark-coloured materials, against a nearly pitch-black background... Makes for a hard job of things. And yeah, Skyscrapers are most certainly NOT meteor proof currently... This recent one went hit with the power of a nuke, and they don't hit for much less... The smaller ones nearly always burn up. At that, the gravity effect on an already fast-moving object can accelerate to extreme speeds... 9.81m/s2 is the accepted (abbreviated) acceleration of an object at earth's surface (or near it, which more or less means within the atmosphere). Approaching the earth, it will already be accelerating, but at a fraction of the speed. (at a distance of one earth-radius [6378.1km] it would be the same. At twice that, it would be a quarter of the acceleration. At three times the distance, it would be 1/9 of the acceleration, etcetera.) This will accelerate and object to immense speeds (11 to 72 km/s. The speed of sound is only 0.34029 km/s... For aviation reference: This is above Mach 25...) That is where the damage comes from, and there is little-nothing man-made that will survive it. -
I think you all need to google "Passive Aggressive" or perhaps "Social Niceties"... That said, I'm on a 'meh' stage with the whole climate change thing. Yeah it's happening. Maybe. (There are a lot of differing oppinions as to WHAT exactly is happening. We do NOT have proof of past climate models... Scientists use the best available means of determining things, but they still end up wrong at times. (They found an airplane under some ice that was a sample of so-called 10,000 year old ice...)) At this point though, it's likely too late to stop what we are currently seeing. Maybe this has nothing to do with us, maybe it does. What I do know is that yeah, we should all be a greener people. But I still think that people are doing too little, too late. We will see what really happens...

First day of Christmas Dear True Love, Thank you so much for the partridge! You know how much I love birds. It looks great in the pear tree. I have named it Ronald. Have a wonderful Christmas! Second day of Christmas Dear True Love, Wow, two turtle doves! And another partridge! You're right — Ronald would have been lonely. I'll call her Nancy. They are all singing beautifully together. Thank you so much for a lovely gift. Third day of Christmas Dear True Love, Thank you for the three French hens! One French hen would have been impressive enough. I guess the first two turtle doves would have been lonely without another pair, so thank you for those as well. Ronald and Nancy seem a little confused by their new friend, whom I am naming Mikhail, but I am sure they will grow accustomed to him in time. Thank you again. Fourth day of Christmas Dear True Love, Thank you for the four calling birds. You really took it to heart when I said that I liked birds. I only got you a sweater, so, please, don't feel obligated to get me anything else. Certainly not more birds. There isn't that much room here, and I am quite happy with the 20 you have already given me. Also, I'm not sure why you brought three more French hens today. Those can't be cheap, and, as you know, I already have three. Thank you for the wonderful thought. Please, no more birds. Fifth day of Christmas Dear True Love, I so enjoyed our lunch today and your gift of five gold rings. Please tell me it is not true that you came by the house while I was gone and dropped off four more calling birds, three additional French hens, two more turtle doves and another partridge. I explicitly told you not to. I am a little frightened to go home. Really, your presence is gift enough. Sixth day of Christmas Dear True Love, GEESE? What am I supposed to do with six geese? I don't know where you are getting all these animals. I worry that you are a bird hoarder. One of my neighbors has complained about the noise. Yesterday, Partridge 4 made a mess on my favorite rug. My house smells like feces. I must go — one of the geese just laid an egg. Seventh day of Christmas Dear True Love, Please stop. I never did anything to you. Look: I do not want you bringing any more birds to my home. I don't know where you got this tank of swans. They are vicious. They bite. The 12 geese are frightened of them. Partridges 5, 6 and 7 make threatening noises whenever I try to make them go outdoors. My house has become a hell. Stop this, please. No more birds. Eighth day of Christmas Dear True Love, When I said "No more birds," I never thought that this would be your response. I don't know where you got eight milkmaids. Do I want to know? I do not think so. At first when they showed up I was sure they had the wrong address. But the UPS guy knows me because I had to sign for all those miserable birds. I tried to find them hotels, but they insisted they would "just stay and milk." I don't want them to stay. I don't want them to milk. I never asked for this. Can you come take the milkmaids at least? I will figure out the birds on my own. Ninth day of Christmas Dear Love, Today I turned off all the lights and hid upstairs in case anyone came with a package I had to sign for. I would have gotten away with it, too, if that turtle dove hadn't bitten me. There was a small crowd around the house when I came out. Nine ladies were dancing on the doorstep, and eight more milkmaids were with them. When I looked in the tank the number of swans had tripled. I called you six times. I need to understand why you are doing this. Did someone tell you this was the way to impress a woman? If so, he lied. Tenth day of Christmas Dear You, There are 10 strange men jumping up and down in my house. They claim they are lords. I don't know. I don't know anything any more. They are frightening the birds. This morning I tried to hide from UPS again, but one of the milkmaids signed on my behalf. I have left my house. Do not try to find me. Do not send me anything else. Your persecution must cease. Eleventh day of Christmas You: I don't know how you found me. Did I do something that made you hate me? I have been rethinking my whole life, trying to understand what I did to deserve this. I said I liked birds. Maybe I even said it would be nice to see ladies dancing. But I never said I liked pipe music. Of this I am certain. Yet there are 11 pipers, piping, outside my window. One of them is holding a partridge. I think the partridge is mocking me. Twelfth day of Christmas DEAR MOST LOATHED AND LOATHSOME OF ALL BEINGS: Today I returned to my home. Here is what I have: 12 drummers, drumming. Twenty-two pipers, piping. Thirty strange men jumping up and down. Thirty-six ladies, performing an elaborate drum-pipe dance. Forty milkmaids. (They have a cow with them, but I do not like to count the cow.) Forty-two swans, crowded into a tank built for seven. Forty-two geese and more goose eggs than I can shake a stick at. Forty gold rings, which I intend to sell to pay for the removal of all these animals. Thirty-six calling birds, calling. Thirty French hens. Thirty! Twenty-two turtledoves, including the one who bit me. Twelve highly agitated partridges. You are sick, sick, sick. I never want to see you or speak to you again. I have been reported for animal hoarding and noise pollution. YOU ARE A MONSTER AND I HATE YOU. http://m.denverpost.com/denverpost/db_/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=WbfdAJPn&full=true#display

There are no words, there are no thoughts, for how bright a soul, the world has lost. I wish I could just wake up, and this would all be a dream. Rest in peace, my puppy. Rest in peace.
