  1. Chapter 29 Music Recomendations -When Brad and Robbie have sex with Mouse to comfort him. "Could You Be Loved?" by Bob Marley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU6olL5ByIM
  2. Before I start, I've gotta note that YouTube has been pulling off music lately because of WMG copyright claims, so some of the links I've posted don't work anymore. If that happens, you have the title and the artist, so go crazy, alright? *wink* Chapter 28 Music Recomendations -When Mouse relates the abuse he's suffered at the hands of his parents. "Hell is For Children" by Pat Benetar I was so worried that this song might have been an '81 song instead of '80...you guys should've heard the "whoop!" I let out when I read that this was part of the Pat Benetar album that came out in August 1980. It was too perfect for that moment to pass up. -When Mouse is given his makeover at the Stanford Shopping Center. "Look Sharp" by Joe Jackson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RtOilzTqcw Enjoy!
  3. So....Chapter 27 Music Selections:-When Claire admits the pregnancy to JP and Isidore. "Sunday Girl" by Blondie -When we meet "Mouse", who gets saved by the gang. "Lonesome Loser" by Little River Band
  4. Chapter 24 -For the party scenes in the last half of the chapter. "My Sharona" by the Knack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS2QuoJ_Q_I Chapter 25 -For Brad's talk with Clair about her budding relationship. "Is She Really Going out With Him?" by Joe Jackson Chapter 26 -For Brad's kiss with Dan. "Games People Play" by the Allan Parsons Project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myJDOWh0_eU -For Brad and Claire's talk about her pregancy "It's Different for Girls" by Joe Jackson Dear god I hope they get to 1981 soon...;-) I'm seriously starting to run out of songs from 1978-1980, lol.
  5. Chapter 23 -When J.P. talks to Jake. "Whip It" by Devo -When Frank and Robbie have it out, and make up. "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley
  6. Chapter 20 -When Robbie wakes up, and they officially become boyfriends. For a couple minutes, anyways. "Baby, I Love You" by the Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBLVe-BUhck -When Brad walks out, pissed that Robbie is wavering about standing up to his parents. "Don't Drop My Love" by Anita Ward Chapter 21 -Robbie confronts the Hayes about sending him to Christian school, and refuses to go. "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2" by Pink Floyd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUASiDg-kg4 -Robbie and Brad sprint out of Escorial and drive to San Francisco. "Go West" by The Village People Chapter 22 -Robbie and Brad walk around the gay culture of San Francisco. "YMCA" by The Village People -Robbie and Brad discover the hustlers, talk to one of them, and find Jake among them. "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer -Brad and Jake clear the air about all the shit that happened, before Brad lets Jake be taken in by Stefan and Greg. "Can We Still Be Friends?" by Todd Rundgren *** Hope you guys enjoyed it. I think my "discovery", aka a song I'd never really heard before but really like, would be "Can We Still Be Friends"? And I thought it was wildly appropriate for the dynamic between Jake and Brad. I also really liked the Ramones cover of "Baby I Love You", which I wasn't familiar with.
  7. Chapter 19 Music Recomendations -When Brad rescues Robbie in the Bay "Heroes" by David Bowie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHT8Kb9VjAQ -The family comes to the hospital; JP talks to Brad, and Brad kisses Robbie. "Follow You, Follow Me" by Genesis
  8. Before I go on to Chapter 18, I gotta say...I've discovered a lot of great tunes I'd never heard of before, like "Wait For Me" by H&O and "Drive All Night". It's been fun doing this. Chapter 18 -When Brad and Lark have a fun weekend in Los Angeles, and see "Xanadu". "Magic" by Olivia Newton John -When Brad and Robbie break down and admit how much they missed each other over the weekend, and talk about Doug and Jake. "Since You've Been Gone" by Rainbow -When Brad and Robbie kiss on the pier at San Francisco, where for that one moment everything is perfect... "Dreamin'" by Blondie
  9. Boy, is my face red. Anyways, just hope you guys enjoyed the selections. I'm really liking "Wait For Me", as I said before.
  10. Thanks. I did like that movie, only seen it once or twice. I'm a sucker for time travel movies. And coincidentally, I was born on Pearl Harbour Day as well as my grandfather, so yeah. LOL. Here are my chapter 17 recomendations: -When Brad and Robbie drive back, only talking at intersections. "Drive All Night" by Bruce Springsteen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW4Fu0Lk23c Warning: This is a 10-minute version of the song from a concert in 1980. If you don't like the Boss, well... -When Brad and Robbie have sex, and Brad tells them they'll be a couple someday. "Wait For Me" by Hall & Oates http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLRHjcqY5bY -When Lark and Brad sleep together. "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" by Journey ****** I'd never heard of that particular H&O song, "Wait For Me". What a nice little gem! And pretty relevant to the scene I picked for it, don't you think?
  11. Chapter 16 Musical Recomendations -When Brad wakes up to a gnarly hangover "Big Shot" by Billy Joel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5cuXFvPTY8 -The whole Yosemite trip "Too Much Heaven" by The Bee Gees http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz9AlhvxLHs -When Brad tells Robbie about Lark on the drive back to Malibu "Hungry Heart" by Bruce Springsteen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reix2lszTI4
  12. I wouldn't mind being 19 again, either. Being 23 is sorta blah. Anyways, here are the Chapter 15 Musical Recomendations -When Brad flips out at Robbie for the shower accident "I Wannabe Sedated" by The Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FxaJKm9sdI -Robbie confesses to his rape "Save Me" by Queen
  13. *shrugs* Dunno. I've had a couple of dates in my life, but so far it's all been hookups. No one wants to be serious when you're in college, especially gay guys, so...there you go.
  14. Chapter 14 -When Brad talks to Stefan "Breakdown" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbG6M28UkFg -When Brad and Robbie talk about whatever the hell it is going on with them. "I Want You Around" by The Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAuYFqJnNDg -When Brad drives up the coast in his Ferrari, gets sidelined by the hot Dutch guy, then finally gets them over to the beach "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQwoEYzXxvY
  15. double post
  16. Chapter 13 Musical Recomendations -When JP tells Robbie about Jeff, and breaks down. "Ashes to Ashes" by David Bowie I've been WAITING to use this one, prolly one of my favorite tracks from 1980. I thought it fit pretty well with the JP/Robbie/Brad scene. -When Brad talks to Doug and kicks him out "Beat on the Brat" by the Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ9YrvyRC28 -When Brad finds Jake and Robbie having sex "Need Your Loving Tonight" by Queen
  17. Yeah, but again, if it's an 1985 song, I can't use it. I'm a history major in college so I've learned to be against anachronistic song uses. I've got to remain faithful to the 1980 time frame.
  18. Yeah, but he doesn't really come into play until 1981/1982. Same with Duran Duran, which I'm hoping like hell I can use.
  19. And here's Chapter 12- -When Robbie gets to Escorial, and the boys go skinny dipping "Let the Good Times Roll" by The Cars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDVMCqWVLNo -For the shopping trip scene to Stanford Fashion Plaza "Fashion" by David Bowie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnoYNMLwuEU -When Brad tries to "convince" Robbie to stay. "Refugee" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6g1c2V3UG8 If we're talking themes of the early 80's, I think "Fashion" by David Bowie is a great one. That was during the whole Calvin Klein/Gloria Vanderbilt/La Coste craze, right?
  20. I enjoy it, but I'm f**king impatient for him to move the story to 1981 because of all the '81 music I want to use but can't. Anyways- Chapter 10.... -When Brad spills the beans about Jake and Sam "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen -When Sam and JP offically break up "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by Hall and Oates http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8702SoMNy0 -When Brad calls up Robbie "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick Chapter 11 Chapter 11. -When Brad goes over to the Haye's House and finds out what Robbie's cousins did: "My Perfect Cousin" by the Undertones -When Tonto shows them the picture of Jeff Hayes at Northwestern before they leave for California "Bat out Of Hell" by Meat Loaf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnVfRjcYulk
  21. For Chapter 8 -On the plane ride to Ohio for the 4th of July "Celebration" by Kool and The Gang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwEMxYggoKQ -When Brad has sex with Jake despite realizing this is going nowhere. "Love Stinks" by J. Geils Band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFMwSGXNZq0 -When Brad meets Robbie at the 4th of July celebration "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksdfPPPE9u0 For Chapter 9 -When JP sees Billy and Robbie standing next to the 1968 El Dorado "Time" by The Allan Parsons Project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvwrSdMY7dQ -When Stefan and Brad talk after he sees Jake and Sam together "Honesty" by Billy Joel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgmJ1miBzek -When Billy, Robbie, and Brad hang out together all stoned "Highway To Hell" by AC/DC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erJc4dzZ3IA

Chapter 1- Brad and Lark "go coastal" "California Sun" by the Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHvoxAkP1F4 Chapter 2- The Party Scene "Heartache Tonight" by the Eagles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoauDZoPD24 Chapter 3- At Stefan and Greg's party "Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZnXikBNn-8 Chapter 4- Brad gets screwed over by Doug "Boys Don't Cry" by The Cure Chapter 5- Brad gets his revenge at the party "Enola Gay" by OMD Chapter 6- Brad and Jake get together "He's So Shy" by the Pointer Sisters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUgxRnmuypQ Chapter 7- Lark and Brad hook up in the morning "Rise" by Herb Alpert
