Sometimes when you take a break you figure out that you really want out anyone, I hope this is not where Brad is going to end up being. I love how Brad played the scene with Keenan and then with Carson, maybe Brad should be in Hollywood more often and in a different role... Brad handled the situation with Will just perfectly. It is great that he is able to be so open and honest with his chilren. Wish more people could and would be like that...

I really loved how Brad and Darius had their talk and how they related to each other. Not suprised about Will at all but glad to see how supportive Darius is of him. I liked how Stef handled the situation with the mission and the kids there. No one needs to be preached at all the time.

I trust Cody on this. Along with what Robbie said Carson was doing, I think there is little doubt that whomever is really behind everything is trying to ruin everything that means anything to Brad. I don't think we have found the person behind all of this yet. Dan Church came from a family with some money but not like what it would take to pull this off. There has to be someone else in the mix...

It truly is sad how many children fun off to LA or New York or wherever thinking that they will find this great place that will accept them and everything will just be sunshine and rainbows. What happens is that there are just people there waiting to take advantage off and use them. It can be heartbreaking...

Well, Brad destroyed the car, Robbie figured out who was behind the problems, Stef was a drama queen, and JP will try and fix everything. This was a pretty standard chapter. I really like getting even glimpses of the kids and even Jeanine...

I swear the second Robbie said that, I totally remembered. I can't believe I did not think of it before; really can't believe that Brad did not... WOW...

Damn, I want Robbie and Brad's mid life crisis... Cancun, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and now Hawaii; this is just so much fun. Waiting for the next shoe to drop...

I have to think that Robbie finding out that Brad bought Kevin/Sergio a car would be a blow to him. Brad has never been like that really. I think the deal with the reporter taking the religious angle is just too funny for words.

Brad and Robbie still love each other; that has never been the problem. Unfortunately, love is not always enough. I hope they make it through but if not, who will each of them end up with???

I am afraid that Stef is right. Brad is a catch and if Robbie doesn't figure out what he wants and come to his senses then he may very well lose Brad. It is funny how well Brad reads Robbie but Robbie seems to be having a much harder time reading Brad. Is it guilt or does Brad just understand the situation better than Robbie?

Well, we haven't really met Carson yet but somehow or another, I think that Brad is coming out ahead in this deal so far. I thought it was funny how Robbie is in top mode all the sudden. I have to sort of wonder what caused this reaction. I love the give and take between Claire and Stef. It is just perfect...

Okay, glad that Brad and Frank had time to let each other know where they both stand. I can tell that they are both pissed at Robbie over this. I really think Brad should leave or at least make sure that he is never alone when he is near Matt. Brad and Sergio could be interesting...

Cody was great all the way around. He gave Brad just what he needed and helped him to understand at least to some extent where Robbie is coming from. Cody is also right about Matt. I hvae to believe that Brad would never be that stupid...

Well, you reap what you sow but I doubt that Robbie really thought that far in the future...

Well, I think that Brad was kidding but I am not so sure about Matt. I think he would sleep with Brad in a heartbeat. Like Brad, I was suprised to see Wade make his comment. I am glad that Robbie showed back up and they had the conversation. I still think this is going to be a really bad idea but maybe 30 days will work out okay...

Well, I just did not see this one coming. I would have never thought that Robbie would risk opening their relationship. I could sort of see Brad wanting this on some level but not Robbie... This just floors me. I guess having a couple of flops could make him think he needed to shake things up but why shake up their relationship. Something or someone else is behind this... Stef is right about the tech industry. I have to wonder how that will play out over the course of this story. Brad is right about the spy. I wonder if the issue with Brad and their company is linked to the issue with Robbie???

I really enjoyed this latest chapter despite the fact that Calvert was in it and actually handled himself well; will this man just never go away... LOL... I thought that Jacobs handled the situation with Winkler just perfectly. He knew that Winkler would be upset and let him go on without getting upset himself until Winkler had control of himself. I loved the comment about him thinking of Granger always stayed so calm and collected. I think the reason that Winkler got so upset to start with was a sign of how deeply he feels for Jacobs. Winkler cared for Jeffries but I don't think he ever loved him like he does Jacobs. I hope that Mark finds a way to keep them together and with Granger. I guess he will have to make sure Jacobs stays with him since I can't see him sitting home alone waiting for Winkler to return from the sea with Granger. I actually thought Calvet handled the situation with St Vincent about as well as could be expected. I think that Calvert has picked up some tricks from being around Granger so long. He isn't as smooth, and never will be, but he does handle himself better now then he did when the story started. Since Mark just refuses to kill the damn man off; I hope that he and Gatling have a long and happy union. They can even rejoin the fleet as St Vincent indicated that he would be quite happy with this. Of course, this means that Granger will need to be somewhere else other than with St Vincent but oh well.... I was glad we got to find out about those that Humphreys sent north to Goree. Glad that Calvert was able to get Baron Kingsdale, Andrews, and the others but hate that Lt Eastwyck was sent off before they arrived. I hope that Granger meets up with him in Paris or somewhere along the way to make sure he gets home as well.... I have to wonder who Granger will rescue or save while he is in Paris. You know we can't have a Bridgemont story without Granger saving some aristocrat or leader or some such person. It will be interesting to see Granger in Paris. He will be in the heart of the enemy and you just know he will get up to something good..... Great work Mark, and can't wait for the next installment.

Loved, Loved, Loved, this latest chapter. I really thought the scene with Winkler and Jacobs was so sweet; after the initial upset. I am glad that Jacobs was able to explain the situation and glad that Winkler decided to remain calm enough to let him. I have to admit that I think Winkler and Jacobs make a good pair. I like Winkler and Jeffries but never thought they quite fit. I am glad that Weston understands about Gatling and I hope that Gatling and Calvert have a long and happy relationship. Calvert handled the interview with Earl St Vincent as well as could be expected. I was glad to hear that they ended up with Baron Kingsdale, Andrews, and the others. I expect that Lt Eastwyck will met up with Granger in Paris...

I fully expect Granger to be back in America during the War of 1812....

I know it is a really horrible thing to admit; but one of the first things that I thought of after a day or so of bawling was with Robbie dead would Matt and Brad give in to all the sexual heat that has always been between them and do something about it... Still not sure how I really feel about it but it was one of my first thoughts...

I was amazed at how well Nana and JP moved everyone from no way to their first group therapy session. I have a feeling that if the two of them joined forced; peace in the Middle East might be achievable... I think that Wade is going to have a really tough time for the next bit. He is going to have to deal with his father's death, the death of his partner's father, his family grieving, his extended family grieving, and battling his mother. I have to wonder if the truce with Elizabeth will really hold until the funeral. While I do think that Nana and JP and a few others will do what they can to back him up; Wade really is a solitary person in many ways. I think he will really benefit from some therapy. Tim made a comment in the review section that I thought was spot on... Elizabeth can have loved the Senator but still be evil. You can love and be loved and still be evil. I think Elizabeth probably did love the Senator in some way and probably even loves her mother and children in her own fashion but Elizabeth loves herself and power most of all. She is evil, not because of this but because she is willing to do anything and give up anything to achieve it. Matt is going to need Wade and his extended family to come to terms with Robbie's death. I think it would help him to also have some help from his adoptive family. The Carrswolds will be able to help him as well. He was on a much better place with them when we last saw them together.... I thought the scene with Darius was perfect. I really liked how he explained the situation with Ella and then his belief that since he was straight, some of his exploits and feelings were not really validated by the family. I thought the way JP, Will, and JJ responded to him was great... I could really see Darius, Will, and JJ coming out of this with a stronger more unified bond. They will always be there own person but they may end up with a better understanding of how each of the other's fit in their life. Okay, we are going to have a member of the family be actually bisexual and it is going to be JJ, WOW... I just would never have seen this coming... It will give him a few great storylines in the future. I still am not sure that this will not be the moment that JJ walks away from skating. He realizes how much he has given up and lost to it and decides it just isn't worth it. This would keep Mark from having to explain why someone so talented did not do well at the major competitions in a few years... LOL... A special note, those of you that have not been following the music recommendations by JJ's namesake need to do so. There have been just some truly amazing song choices over the last few chapters...

Anything by Queen would be great but I guess it really does fit for La Danfield...

Grief can take many forms and everyone passes through the stages on their own timetable; but with this family, I think it is probably a good idea to get a jump on dealing with it. I loved Darius's outburst. It was so well written and the feeling behind it was so heartfelt. I really think the comments by Darius, Will, and JJ were just so honest. I can see the three of them coming out of this with a stronger and maybe more uniformed bond. It was sort of remarkable to see how Nana and JP just moved everyone past the I don't want to stage to their first group session. This is not going to be a quick fix but something they can start working on and then continue as each person moves back into their own life. Tim was right in his comment above, you can be someone that loves and is even loved and still be a completely evil bitch... Elizabeth probably did love the Senator and she may even in her own fashion love her mother and her children but she is still evil. I think that maybe Nana could use some help from JP in removing her from all of their lives....

I really appreciate this story now, the second time I read it more than the first. It was so great to see what formed some of the people in the story now; how the past made them into what they are today. It brought Tonto, Steven, Aaron, and even JP more into full beings. It gave us touchstones to what they were in the past. A really great job on this one, Mark...

WOW, I am really shocked. I guess I did not really thing that Aaron might really be alive but WOW. I am glad that Stef found out that Steven and his mother were not just a one time encounter that lead to a pregnancy. They really cared about each other and would have probably been together if Steven had not died. You have to wonder what might have been...
