Where the hell is Mann? Did he get pulled off and sent somewhere else? I wonder where the Spanish and French fleets are heading out to? Granger and his connections pull it off again...

I am always glad to see Travers and George together. I do think they are starting to pull apart, even if Travers doesn't realize it. The gulf in their social standing would make it harder to stay together than most would realize. It was easier when Travers was so superior in rank to George but not they are almost even, it is harder to offset the other issues.

Elevation to the Collar would have been a major deal. It would place him very high in the King's eyes. The Duke of Medinacelli must have been very powerful at that time. War with Spain. It had to come but sad that Granger will be in the middle of it with his new friends.

Not sure anyone else could have done what Granger has done, but then he is the hero of our story... I am glad to find out that Carlos is going to be returned home. What they did to him was not all that unusual but it is still horrible to contemplate.

Granger saves another soul, I have to wonder who Carlos will turn out to be. You know that he isn't just some peasant. Few from the underclasses were that fluent with languages in those times.

Fortune has always favored the brave and no one could ever doubt that Granger has that in spades. I do hope that his luck holds, the Arab pirates of the era were not known for their nicities with captives, not even those of rank and privilege.

It is amazing that some of the best minds of the Royal Navy had to suffer because of idiots like Mann and his ilk. Often personal opinions and disagreements could ruin even a truly good officer or Captain; it is amazing that the Royal Navy managed to be so dominate for so long. Granger has the devil's own luck. I swear just when you think he is going to get caught up in something that he can't get out of, he does...

With the Duke of Cardona at his side, Granger got a chance to take a peek at one of the most important Spanish naval bases. He would be able to get information and confirmation that would be almost impossible for any other person in the Royal Navy.

Well, Granger has rescued another person of importance, even if they evening did not end all that well. The Duke of Cardona would have been a very influential person. Granger may have made a mistake by opening up to him that fully... Will be interesting to see how it goes. The cure for some disease back then were actually worse then the disease itself...

Not sure that Granger could really do anything other than what he did with the arrangment of the wine coming in; he could not take anything without being complicit and his honor would not allow that. He is probably right that it isn't a big enough issue to make anything out of.

Great chapter. I still haven't made up my mind about Zach yet, I still am not sure that I trust him but Will seems to have a good grasp and see's something in him or a change so.... I really loved the conversation between Will and Darius and Austin. Will and Darius are so good with understanding each other. Brad played the situation with Mendoza just right. Brad just isn't ready to have someone in his life that wasn't part of it before yet.

Yea, a reward for Granger and his crew for all their hard work. I am amazed at how much Granger is actually able to accomplish. I doubt that anything about the new posting will be as easy as they think; if it was then Granger would not get any new adventures...

Really enjoyed this chapter, I found the details provided in the court marshall quite interesting. I am not sure that any of this is doing to endear Granger to any of the other Captains but Sir John will come to appreciate it...

Well, I am sort of glad that Somers is going to be nothing more than a f%&k buddy. It will be nice to have someone Granger can enjoy the sex with and not get all tied up with them emotionally. Talk about good luck, first he saves the convoy and Fellowes; then he escapes without having to deal with Admiral Mann.

Actually, the Duke of Portland took Cavendish's injury better than I would have thought he would have. Glad to see that Cavendish is recovering somewhat and glad to see that Miquel is still helping him. I worry that Arthur is going to implode. I have to wonder who the new lover is? I hope that Caroline is able to help him some. Brummel was very influential for a while. His word carried a great deal of weight until he had a falling out with the Prince of Wales.

Somers seems like the kind of man that Granger would find attractive. He is also the kind that I think Granger should be with more than some of those he is with. I am glad that Granger is taking an active interest in Gatling. It is good that he is willing to help him out since he has no family support to speak of.

Damn, it is good to be Granger. I do love how he handled all of this. Not so happy to have Calvert anywhere nearby but I guess I can get over that. I hope that Cavendish is going to be okay. I hope Granger has time to check on him and make sure he is making an adjustment.

Hate to see Cavendish lose this leg like this, especially since he managed to recover from a previous injury. Even thought something like this has to be expected, I would hazard a guess that the Duke of Portland will not be a happy camper. I hope he doesn't take it out to much on Granger. Glad to see Clifton taking his place where he belongs, and a major plus to see Gatling get a promotion as well....

Damn, Cavendish is just too unlucky. To get the same leg injured twice is more than anyone could bear; I have a feeling he won't be as lucky this time. Granger must have balls of steel.

Yikes, the Spanish ship will not do anything to help or hinder Granger but the French will try and move in for the kill. I doubt the French can do much while Granger is in port but the second he moves, the battle will be on.

Cavendish saved the day. Granger got way to caught up in the fighting and defeat of the opponent. This really isn't like him but glad to see Cavendish step up. Sort of suprised the Nelson did not take Granger and head back to take the ships on...

Granger is almost a paternal figure to some of the crew, hard to think of the fact he is only about 20 years of age. Clifton seems to have learned his lesson. I wonder how long he will want to stay in his position. Fine mess with Lt Roberts and the fifty men gone, this ship is going to cause problems; I just hope it is alone and not the first in a line of ships sailing into port.

Well, almost have to wonder how long till Clifton is in Granger's bed. I know that was tacky but... I do admit that Clifton seems to be a real ass. I guess being that rich/powerful as such a young age would do that to a lot of people.

Granger was just so masterful. He was able to handle Travers and Robey both with no problem. He seems to have helped Travers start to overcome his issues; damn does he have a reason to be pissed at Jardines. I would hate to see what happens if they ever meet up.

I adore Granger and I think the portrayl as written is magnificent but I am not sure that anyone can be in love with as many people as Granger is currently. I understand being in lust with some and in love with others but Granger really seems to be in love with them all...
