Well, Matt in Virginia for Christmas with the Danfields might answer a lot of questions. I have to say that I really feel for Danfield but the person that is really going to get hurt is Carullo. He is either already in love with Matt or really close but Matt just doesn't see him as more than a good friend with benefits. It is a shame that most people with the ability to do something like what Matt did for Carullo, don't use their means to help others but only themselves...

I am really starting to wonder what the deal with Danfield is. There has to be something either holding him back or impeding his ability to be with Matt. I do understand his fear of someone finding out, especially in light of his father's stances on the gay lifestyle. I think Carullo is starting to fall for Matt as well, this is not going to end well either. He is going to get hurt before it is over.

Well, they both admitted it to themselves along with JP, Stef, Isidore, and Frank. I have to wonder what will happen if and when someone else finds out. I don't think Carullo was just using Matt to get off; I think he is much more into Matt than Matt is into him. I can see him getting hurt by all this if it comes out...

Ah, the stupidity of youth, I am sure that Matt did not realize what kind of spot he was putting Danfield in but for someone that seems to have as many reservations as he does, it was paramount to outing him... I love how JP works to help others without wanting anything in return. He is the kind of person that just makes those around him better...

I am starting to think that it might not be a good idea for Matt and Danfield to hook up. I am not sure that it is possible for Matt to be with just one person, and I have a feeling that Danfield is the one person at a time type... Carullo is hot... It can be so much fun to have someone like him around you in the dorm. Someone to help you out at 2:00 a.m. when you just need to get off....

Damn, I do think JP and Stef are right and Matt should just relax and not rush things with Danfield, but that doesn't mean he needs to run off and sleep with Cody...

It is horrible when anyone makes the decision to take their own life. I can understand when a person with a terminal illness does so but when someone young does it for whatever reason; it is truly tragic. I think it is a shame that so many young people get to the point that they really believe there is no other way out; why isn't there someone there for them??? I really want to know what the deal is with Danfield. Starting to wonder if there is something else in his past that we are not aware of yet???

I really don't understand people that just want to cause drama just to be in the middle of it. Amber is going to crush Cole and not even look back; but JP is right, karma can be a bitch... I hate that I can't tell what is really going on with Matt and Danfield. I really think Danfield is already in love with Matt but just can't even let himself know. Whether that is an issue he has or because of his father, I don't know... Matt maybe a slut, but he wants to be in love. Is Danfield the one?

Unfortunately, I knew the situation with Cole and Amber would blow up. The only thing remains to see how badly. I am sure that Turner will try and fix it but Cole is really obssessed with Amber and that never ends well. Isidore hit the nail on the head. Amber is the kind of person that is manipulative just for the sake of doing so. Her world will unravel, the only question is how long will it take. Danfield is in love with Matt. I am not sure if he even knows it yet but it is there.

I really loved the conversation between JP and Matt when they had lunch together. I really showed how deeply they connected and how they feel about each other. I thought Matt was spot on about with his comment about letting Brian fall on his ass and learn to pick himself up. JP and Brad have reached a new level of understanding. I am glad that this drama at least had one positive outcome.

Even though Brian has only been around the family for a could of years, I am amazed that he would attempt a power play with Brad like that. There is no way Brad would allow him to go unchallenged and I don't think Brian realizes what he has unleashed. I don't think this is all Cody's fault. Matt really can't decide what he wants and while he seems to just want to have fun; I don't think this is how either Cody or more importantly Brian views it.

Cole is just too wrapped up in Amber, first it was Matt but now her. I just don't see where this is going to end well. Matt needs to decide what his end game with Cody/Brian is going to be. Does he really want Cody or does he just want to screw them up and keep them apart?

Matthew Shepard's death was so hard to take. When you saw pictures or tapes of him, he was just so small and fun loving. He seemed to truly love life and have a great attitude despite some of the things he had gone through... I truly don't understand how anyone could have done that to anyone... Danfield?

Damn, I can't believe Cody was that dumb. Matt is right, this is just going to set Brian off on his little drama train again. I hate that this is going to cause JP grief. Does it seem strange that all the sudden Danfield seems to be there either with Matt or near him all the time now???

Damn, well that is one way to come out of the closet. I can imagine the suprise look on their faces. I am not sure that Matt with all his experience really understands the difference between love, lust, friendship, and just friends with benefits. He seems to rocket from one person and emotion to another...

I just want to scream, " Danger Will Robinson, Danger " at the top of my lungs. I have a feeling that Cole is the kind of person that is going to get really into someone whether it proves to be a man or a female and that is going to make it hard to manage how he relates to that person and others. I don't think he will be like clingy but he will be really totally into one person at a time...

Well, Matt had such a great suprise on how his parents related to and acted with the California group. I have to wonder if he did not give them enough credit??? Brian seemed sincere in his apology but can a leopard change his spots? He just had to mention the deal with Cody...

It can be so hard those first few weeks of living in a dorm with these strange people and their actions that can often make no sense to you and where you are coming from. I can see the tension between Matt and Brian continuing to escalate. I have a feelilng that in the end it will be one or the other that survives at Escorial...

Well, I have faith in Mr Arbour finding ways for Granger to make it back to sea, maybe not as much as he did for a while but a few more adventures surely lay ahead...

WOW. all really great songs but I especially love the REM song. They are just one of my favorite bands of all times....

The terror level on this latest chapter dropped but in some ways the level of sadness is much more pervasive now. I am not sure that anyone has really started to deal with the issues that they will all face individually or collectively; not enough time has past yet. They are all still running on fear and adrenaline. JP is the MAN. To be able to arrange safe passage off the island that quickly after an unimaginable disaster like this; I would bet the card the cop took and called the number on had to either be a cabinet level secretary or a director of one of the big three security agencies. The island shut down quickly after all this happened and no one got on or off except for emergency or military personel. The fact that he could handle all of this while dealing with a personal tragedy of this magnitude says so much about him as a man... Brad, Will, and Darius just don't know what to do. They want to hold onto hope about Robbie, Jeanine, and Hank but they have to know on some level that there is just no way they survived. They want to honor those that gave their lives trying to help but they have to know that in the short term civilians just wouldn't be allowed to step in. They want to keep each other safe but they don't want to imagine that anything else could really happen. With Ella showing up, Darius may have someone that he feels he has to take care of and that may keep him in a more managable frame of mind. Thank God, they have JP. Stef and JJ just seem to be along for the ride at the moment. I think Stef will snap to but he was much closer to the terror than JP and he feels things in a different way than JP does. JJ just hasn't started to process anything yet but when he does, everyone better watch out. Matt is going to have a really hard time with this. He really got only three years with his biological father. Robbie gave him unconditional love and support and that is not something that is easily replaced. Wade had finally got to a good place with his father. They had worked their asses off to get past the abuse and appeared to have done so successfully. Wade will be heartbroken but I think in the end will deal with the Senator's death easier than Matt will with Robbie's. I hope they can fully lean on each other but I have to wonder how firm the foundations of their relationship is right now. When we last saw them, Matt seemed really bothered by how obsessed Wade had become with Brad after sleeping with him. I hope they can come together and work out their grief together without it causing a wedge in their relationship. I hope that taking care of Maddy will help Tiffany overcome her grief at losing Jeanine. I think Tiffany still really loved Jeanine but is was more the kind of love where you just really wanted the other person to be happy rather than the romantic kind. I had thought about Tiffany taking Maddy earlier but unless Jeanine names her in her will, Tiffany really has no claim to custody at all. I do think some people are really underestimating Cody in the scenario. I really don't see him developing a sudden paternal instinct because I think we would have seen some sign of it before now but I do think he will be involved. Cody had a really demanding job and by all accounts is very successful at it; you don't get to that level of success without a great work ethic and a great deal of personal responsibility. I really can't see him taking or even wanting full custody of Maddy; but I do think he will want a great deal of input on where she ends up... I personally like the idea of Claire and Jack taking her but that is really up to the pen of Mr Arbour. I would really like to get a little bit of Claire's point of view again. I am sure that JP during his calls has made sure that Claire and been advised of who survived and who did not. I think it would be good to see her reaction as well as John and Marie's... Thank God the Senator's divorce was final... I think Elizabeth will still have her machinations but it will limit her in some ways.... I would think these chapters would be almost as hard as the last few but I do hope we get to move forward with another one soon... Thank you so much for how you have handled not only the subject matter and the writing but the posting schedule as well...

I think we are all underestimating Cody to some extent. He has never been really good relationship material but by all accounts he is great at his job, which is a difficult and demanding one. He could not be as good as he has been portrayed at this job without having a great deal of personal responsibility and a great work ethic. Plus, he has been a good friend to quite a few people in the CAP universe when they have really needed one. I can't say Cody is one of my favorite charaters but I don't think he is as much of a screw up and some are making him out to be... That being said, I don't see him as someone with any paternal instincts that are going to kick in...

While this may not have had the terror of the last few chapters; the sadness was still there. Matt and Wade have both lost their fathers and will have to deal with that, hopefully together. I have never been sure since Wade slept with Brad, how truly secure their relationship is now. Wade was so obsessed for a while that it bothered Matt more than if he could have done it and then just let it go. Tiffany still cared about Jeanine, maybe still loved her, but it was the kind of love where you just want the best for the other person for them to be happy. She will be able to mitigate some of her grief by helping with Maddy. JP is the man. I don't know if anyone else reading really understands how difficult it would have been to be able to arrange passage off the island that quickly after everything happened. It says a lot about what kind of pI erson he is and the power he possess that he was able to do so. I know it is petty, but I am glad the divorce was already complete before the Senator passed away...

I just can't believe Brian. He knows the family history and then pulls something like this. I hate to say it but upbringing will always tell. I know it is going to sound snobby but you can just see how much smoother Matt is and how he fits into the family so much easier than Brian does. I am not saying that someone raised how Brian was raised can't learn a certain level of polish but to those not born of it; it always shows...

It is always funny to me how people that get thrown together on teams or for work interact with each other. Often those first few meeting or days can be very interesting. I can just see Stef and all of these hockey jocks. Too funny...
