  1. Indeed why? I suppose they were the best of a bad bunch to be fair. Julian Smith was great though.
  2. Gee, thanks!! Louis Cyprus
  3. I liked the two with the lollies as well!
  4. Trust you to lower the tone! I'm never much good at these things but I'll go with James as well.
  5. Hey guys, thanks for all the great comments, as always it's greatly appreciated. As for that review, that's life I guess. People have their own views and opinions, what you might see one way, someone else may see another. I'm afraid it comes with the territory. I can only put across how I see it as the author, but I guess it didn't translate that well. Live and learn. As for the ranking levels, I won't lie and say I wasn't a little surprised. I think one gets used to all that gold, and to suddenly see something like that was a bit of a shock. Again, I have no control over what people do or how they interpret a particular chapter. I'm certainly not going to change the direction I want this story to go because of one small blip. Keep smiling. D
  6. Thanks for the comments, and glad your enjoying it so far...though I do think Katrina is quite sweet, in a bitter, twisted kind of way! And yeah, Matt likes to be assertive, I think he quite likes the idea of Gary exploding again, but that's another chapter!
  7. What a way to wake up in the morning, do you know if he does requests? It always makes me chuckle, that despite it being war time, they still manage to go through all the pomp and ceremony in welcoming the British soldiers. Only the French and English would do such a thing! I really hope Granger doesn't try to bed Nelson as well! Though on his past track record I certainly wouldn't put it past him!! You seemed to have summed up Nelson very well though, he was an extremely charismatic man who seemed to gain loyalty and respect through his presence alone. Apparently he had quite the sense of humour as well. So, off to Sardinia to get reinforcements, and will they ever need them with what's coming up! It was good to see the return of Bell, though I imagine it's only a brief reunion. Seems our Mr Granger has a man on every ship! Another great chapter Mark.
  8. Hey Nine! It's good to have you on-board. Looking forward to reading some more of your work.
  9. Thanks Steve, it's always good to know that people are enjoying it. I felt the same as you regarding the Vamp stories, that's why I tried to make this as different as I could. There are however, a few more surprises on the way! Hopefully, chapter 4 will be up by the weekend.
  10. Not having seen or read Twilight, I was able to look at this without it in the back of my head. All I can say is WOW. This story is off to an excellent start, and I have to say it has me gripped already. Vampires are totally my thing, and this is better than any I've read in quite some time. I did wonder when he caught that guys scent and was fixated on it, whether there would be a connection. Looks like there is, thing is, what does he do about it? Really looking forward to the next chapter.

  12. Happy Birthday, Eric!
  13. I was waiting for a denial, if you did, I would have very kindly set the record straight! I've known you for a long time, remember that!
  14. I agree, the show was pretty dire. They seem to have put all the really good acts on earlier in the semis.
  15. Here's me thinking it was just me! Mine came out kinda looking like.......well it had lopsided ears and sausage legs! A mouse isn't the greatest drawing tool!
