Sacha was nervous, as he climbed the last few steps and passed Lacey, stepping into the room. He froze. It was enormous, seeming to stretch the whole length of the house. Four dormer windows along one side of the ‘L’ shaped room, let sunlight stream in, setting the warm wood floors alight. “I’m sorry it’s so bare. We didn’t know what you’d like so we just moved a few pieces up from downstairs. We can go shopping when you’ve settled in a bit.” Sacha blinked at her, barely hearing what she said.

PART 2 – SACHA’S POINT OF VIEW Sacha was scared, but not as scared as he had been for the last few days. He was on his way home; at least, the place he’d been told was his home. He hadn’t set foot there for the past eight years and had no memories of what it was like, even though he’d been told it was the same place he was brought up in for the first nine years of his life. It was good to get out of the hospital. There was nothing worse, he thought, than being in hospital when you weren’t ill.

Don't worry, Frank hasn't gone alone. He's safe. Sacha? Not so much. You'd have thought hospitals would have better security.

Frank and his family have more weapons in their arsenal than it might appear. As for Sacha's captor, there is no end to his evil, and his evil hasn't ended. But he obviously doesn't know Sacha as well as he thinks he does because...well, I don't want to spoil that. It comes later, much later.

He's a man with an obsession which has consumed him for so long, and on the basis of which he has made some very bad decisions, who has come to the end of it and realizes it wasn't the end he'd imagined - or maybe hoped, it would be. I think he's going to suffer for his mistakes

No, Frank had no idea Sacha/Alex would be there. It was just one of his random visits. There are a lot of runaways on the streets of Cardiff, so I would imagine he'd go to places like that. Cites with large runaway populations. Frank is a Detective Chief Inspector with the Met - the Metropolitan Police, a special force only in London. He's a big cheese. I would imagine there are two ways the locals would have dealt with him. Either they would have been unwelcoming, their top ranks rankling at the intrusion and being difficult, or they would be helpful. I think, in this case, given the reasons for his interference, the top ranks would have given the okay and the lowly custody sergeant, although he could have been obstructive if he'd wanted to, was pretty much obliged to co operate. Although he's from a different part of the country and a different force he is a Detective Chief Inspector, so I don't think they would have had any problems with him taking Sacha to an interview room. In reality, due to the fact Sacha is a minor, I would imagine there would have to be two police officers with him and I took huge liberties with that one.

Cliffhangers? I don't write cliffhangers It's definitely not a requirement of GA but I like to end each chapter in a way that makes people want to come back and read the next one.It seems I'm succeeding, so far
