I've no idea how i missed this. It's okay hun, you don't have to explain. If you didn't like it you didn't like it I would be nothing short of stupid if i thought everyone liked everything i wrote. Reading is so subjective after all. this was an experiment. on the whole i think it worked but not everyone by any means enjoyed it. it's always harder to give a negative review than a positive one but i treasure every one. Learn to grow

It is a sad story and I don't usually write sad endings. i put my characters through so much they deserve at least a happy for now. In this story the ending came first so to speak so there was no choice

Spot on Bonnie's kind when it suits her. Unfortunately it doesn't suit her very often. She's determined to use this opportunity to get her claws into Kei and Alex has a fight on his hand, although he doesn't realise the extent of it yet

There are laws to protect people in Kei's position. He's over 18 so legally he isn't under his parents' control anymore and he's signed legal documents to make Alex his next of kin and decision maker. in this case it's the forceful nature of his parents, and their influence over him, that is the problem, not any legal rights they have. fortunately, alex's parents are strong too and give him much needed support, especially when the situation go

Mike, you know how dangerous it is to say you can see where one of my stories might be heading Although you do have a point this time. the parents do play a part, and they do want to take Kei home, or at least take him somewhere. Thank heaven for Kei's foresight. I think it was clear at the end of the chapter where the story's going next, at least clear to anyone who knows me *evil grin*. it definitely isn't going to be down easy street.

i didn't even notice Sadly, I know a lot of people like Kei's parents. I've made them lawyers for a reason, not that all lawyers are like that. Most lawyers are almost human. But high powered corporate lawyers sometimes put image before everything, even family

the situation in hospitals here isn't quite as strict as it is in the US and partners can be treated as family. Don't forget gay marriage, or at least civil partnerships, are legal here. However, that's not really an issue here because Kai insisted on signing papers to make Alex his next of kin and decision maker. Ash he's over 18 he doesn't need his parents at all. Legally, Alex is the only one with the right to make medical decisions and he therefore had full right to be there all the time. Kai knows his parents so well he's thinking of these things even when he's so sick. He was thinking about his parents trying to stop Alex being with him, but the decision becomes even more important later on

Glad you're starting to like Alex. He's cute as hell and stronger than he thinks. Things go to hell fast and i think he holds up well. Mind you, that doesn't mean he doesn't fall apart and get mad as hell with lots of people...including Kai.

It had been a long, long day. Alex hadn’t had much sleep the night before and he was just about dropping with exhaustion by nine o’clock in the evening.
