  1. i love the way you extended this from the sneak peak. This is shaping up to be something very interesting indeed
  2. “Please be careful, Pasha,” Gabri’el warned with a hand on Pasha’s shoulder. “This smells like a trap.” “It’s Uzzy,” Pasha said, his voice tormented. He ran his hand over the box, looking for a catch, an opening, anything. When he reached the place where the hands pressed against the lid, he laid his own over them and closed his eyes. He could feel nothing…except…. Somewhere on the very edges of his consciousness was a tug he hadn’t noticed before. It was faint but strong and, now he’d acknowle

    Chapter 7

Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story so far. There's a long way to go... for the story and for Kei. The focus of the story really isn't what's happening right now. The clue is in the title There are definitely dark times ahead, but there are light times too. I promise.

    Chapter 7

Everyone seems to be having ominous feelings. For good reason I think. I hate his mother too

    Chapter 7

just because she's a mother doesn't mean she's a nice person. You're absolutely right not to trust her. She and her husband are poison. Think of all the bad things you've ever heard about lawyers and add in homophobia. Everything with them has a price. They will be happy to take care of Kei in every way they can. In fact that's exactly what they want to do... on their terms. Their terms, of course, would be that Kei becomes straight and never sees alex again

    Chapter 7

thank you so much. It's so awesome that someone who has had experiences of something similar validate what I've written. I wrote the story as a NaNoWriMo so I didn't have opportunity to do too much research. However, I have done some research on comas for another story so I hope I haven't gone too far astray. There is definitely a lot of drama swirling around Kei

    Chapter 7

i have no idea why you think that He seems to know Alex so far The future will not be easy though because Kei definitely wakes up not knowing something

    Chapter 7

that you kei's father's the strong silent type. He just fules bonnie. He's a total and utter asshole. You've got me worried about all the loose ends. I really hope I know what they are and will draw them together

    Chapter 7

All through the night and the whole of the next day, Alex watched and waited. The others took it in turns to sit with him but he never left Kei’s side, other than to use the bathroom or if his mother forced him to take a short walk. The truth was that whenever he was away from Kei’s side, even if only for a few minutes, he panicked. He was paranoid that something would happen while he was away, that Kei would need him and he wouldn’t be there. A number of times over the day, doctors came to exa
  11. nothing is as it seems. That's the only truth they can be sure of....until they find the one they're supposed to see. It's almost like they're being tested isn't it?
  12. uzzy isn't near death, he IS dead. Isn't he? At least, Fierro thinks so. Oh, for sure, nothing is as it seems. Nothing at all and there is one particular truth Pasha and Gabriel need to find pretty damn quick or they're doomed.
  13. people are making a lot of assumptions. At least one assumption is totally wrong CW Prince has come close to a truth without being right about it I had to laugh at your comment on 'where angels fear to tread'. it was the only prompt from this week's flash, I could fit into the story.

    Chapter 40 - Trap

At this point I'm living in hope that I can untangle it. I haven't seen the end of the story yet.
  15. there are often reasons for everything...except when there is no reason for anything. the story is at a point where literally anything could happen. thanks for sticking with it.
  16. Nothing is as it seems. is uzzy in the box/ is anything in the box? Is there even a box at all? Have Pasha and Gabriel even left the cave? Did they ever get to the cave in the first place. well yeah, okay they did, and they're not...but at this point all bets are off and literally anything could happen.

  18. oooh what a comprehensive, imaginative and interesting review. You've given me some ideas there. Nothing is as it seems. The only thing you can be sure of is that there are surprises just around the corner. The box, of course, especially the glass coffin, is synonymous with mystery and magic. the question is, what will pasha find inside it? Is it Snow White or one of the dwarves, or are they all the same thing? As for the slave boy - we will definitely be seeing more of him.
  19. The boy led Pasha and Gabriel to a patch of wall that looked like every other. He pressed his hand against the stone and a green flash illuminated his fingers. A section of the wall swung open. The boy looked up at them. “Nothing is as it seems,” he said and hurried into the corridor beyond. Pasha and Gabriel followed. The door clicked shut behind them and they were plunged into darkness. Moments later the walls began to glow, providing more than enough illumination. “What about you?” Gabriel
  20. At Gabri’el’s signal, The Host flowed forward, skimming the surface of the lake. Pasha was barely aware they were on the water. His eyes were fixed on the waterfall. He wondered briefly how they were all going to get through then his horse plunged beneath the fall and suddenly he was in the cave beyond. The cave was not what Pasha had expected, if he’d expected anything at all. He stood among the stomping, snorting horses and looked around. The space around him was enormous. It would easily hav
  21. Gabri’el raised his hand and one of the angels detached from the Host and rode forward. He was a big man, with wide shoulders and a square jaw. Raven hair streamed from under his helmet as he rode. His eyes, when he was near enough to see them, were kind. “Range out in ranks of three, wait for my mark and then we ride.” “What?” Pasha asked in surprise. But, we can’t all fit through the waterfall, not spread out. Shouldn’t they be in single file?” “Trust me, Pasha, where the Host wishes to go,

    Chapter 18

there's no reason why sue can't go on to help them. the problem is that very few of them come forward and admit what happened to them. It took a lot to get Daniel to that point. Daniel is very special to me because I deliberately wrote him to be the me i wish i could be. I'm sorry to have disturbed your sleep but very glad you enjoyed the story

    Chapter 18

Sorry I missed your review and didn't thank you. Thank you so much for your review and i'm so glad you enjoyed
  24. thank you. i'm glad you enjoyed it. i'm not sure where this one came from. i think it was from something in my own life...not the same degree at all. It got me thinking about how people don't 'listen'. i guess it came from the same root as Why Didn't he Say Something.
  25. I think Cyan is going to be absolutely furious. I think he'll come round quickly though, when he gets to know Gabriel and, especially when he realizes all his scars have gone. only the ones on the outside of course but gabriel has years of working on the rest.
