the story is being written on a week by week basis as part of a flash fiction group. That's why the chapters are so short. with the average length of chapters being 3k words then 35 chapters word out at about 11 'normal' chapters. I hadn't intended the story to continue to be honest but then the characters told me a secret and I really had to tell it. I haven't yet, but you'll see soon. i'd say we've got at least four or five chapters left.

I totally agree with you. this always happens when I set out to write short stories and exactly why i don't do it very often and i hate doing it. my stories are always meant for 100k + words and it's hard to shorten it. I think the skills needed for writing novels and writing short stories are very different and i don't think i have the skills for short story writing. That being said i enjoyed writing this one. As far as Luke is concerned, i don't think he was brought up to hate. he was brought up to be a hunter. He's not human. He's a carnivore and a predator. i don't think it's surprising that, given they've all gone on the run, then are attacked and, as far as he knows, his father killed, that he would react with violence. isn't that what children do? i would love to expand this story. There are so many things i would love to explore, not only the government labs and the underground, but the hot tentacle sex and i would LOVE to have Sys get pregnant by Dee and see what happens there. i'd like to say that one day i will but i have so many other projects and so many other stories i would like to expand and write sequels too i can't promise i will as always, thanks for the fab review. i'm excited to read more of Dust and Ash's drama...and also the sweet relief of the other relationships

thank you honey. Yeah, I guess it could be a tear jerker at times. it also has some real jerks in it And I don't think it's going to take a mastermind to work out that some people are going to be eating their words

i don't want anyone labouring under a misapprehension so i'll say from the start that there is absolutelyy nothing supernatural in the story. it's all about human relationships and how they overcome adversity

well, out of them all, i think his sister has the most cause to bitch. he did forget her birthday and when he eventually called it was for her support.

Everyone is being very harsh and to be honest, i don't think they would be if they knew that everyone else was, if you know what i mean. in one way i don't blame alex. when your boyfriend it two hours late for a date, you give him an ultimatum and then he's half an hour late i think anyone is going to get pissed. however, maybe alex should have thought more about how out of character his behaviour is.

Well, i don't know if you're going to cry or not but you're dead right that there's something going on under the surface that is going to shock the hell out of everyone, including Kei, when they find out. Thank you so much for the review
