Translations - Stories

Translations of early German Expressionist poet Toni Schwabe. Along with Elsa Gidlow and Renée Vivien, her delicate-but-frank explorations of same-sex love established much of the territory fellow Lesbian poets celebrated vociferously in the latter part of the 20th century. As far as I know, this is the first substantial collection of the poet's work to be rendered in English.

Along the way, he meets a colonel’s son who offers him lifelong devotion, but our brokenhearted hero must be on his way again, to meet his ultimate fate, alone.

Translations of Wilhelm Runge's unique poems, which blend natural sights with erotic feelings. As far as I know, this is the first substantial collection of the poet's work to be rendered in English.

Poems of suffering and peace from a nearly forgotten master. Hans Ehrenbaum-Degele was killed in action in July, 1915, 26 years of age. His partner and friends brought out his Das tausendste Regiment ("The Thousandth Regiment") posthumously in 1917. Whether or not his work has been ignored because he was Gay, it's time to bring his name forward and place it with the other great WW1 poets, where he has always belonged.
