Standing In Shadows - 25. Chapter 25

SIS 25

“Don’t do this just because,” Clinton whispered when my hand found his cock in the darkness. I tried to see his face, but the room was too dark. The only light coming from the brief flashes of lightning the storm outside provided.

“I already told you, I want to,” I countered feeling him becoming hard in my hand.

“What, what changed your mind?” Clinton grunted and I felt the covers being pulled off of us.

“Everyone just seemed so comfortable,” I answered leaning forward following the sound of his breathing, I searched out his face. In the darkness my forehead hit his chin. Then I found his neck and kissed it moving down and over his collar bone. I could feel tiny goosebumps and the fine hairs dotted across his chest and stomach when I continued down his body. When my breath hit his cock I felt him shudder.

“Don’t do this just,” He started, but I licked the head of his cock with my tongue.

“Shh,” I said, then took him into my mouth. When I started moving with a careful rhythm I felt his body relax. Then I felt his hand stroking the back of my head. After a few minutes I felt his hand on the back of my head go still and the tenseness of his body return.

“I’m going to cum,” he said, his voice shaking and I took my mouth off his cock and jacked him off. In the flashes of light I saw his head leaned back and his eyes were closed. He bit his lower lip as I felt his cum slide down the back of my hand. I kept a slow rhythm with my hand until he sighed and relaxed on the bed. I let go and he sat up. I felt the bed move and when he turned the nightstand lamp on I squinted until my eyes adjusted to the sudden light. When I looked over at him he was smiling. Then he quickly slid out of bed and jogged out of the bedroom. When he returned he threw a towel at me and I wiped off my hand and handed it back to him. He dropped the towel and got back into bed. Smiling he leaned forward and kissed me as he gently pushed me down until I was lying on my back.

“You don’t have to do anything since I didn’t earlier,” I said and he looked up at me.

“We’re not keeping score,” he countered smiling as he kissed and sucked his way down my chest to my own hard cock. I shuddered when his lips slid over my cock. Using his tongue he licked around the head of my cock before taking more of me into his mouth. I relaxed laying down my head towards the foot of the bed. I closed my eyes, but the lightning outside caused quick flashes across my eyelids.

He seemed to sense when I was close and I groaned when he pulled away from me. When I heard him rummaging through his nightstand I looked up to see him holding the condom and the small bottle of lube again.

“I’m afraid I’ll be bad at it,” I said and he smirked.

“I don’t think you will be,” he said and he flipped the cap open on the lube as he squeezed some into his hand and I sucked in a breath when he rubbed his hand over my cock. .

“Don’t you want to wait for it to be special?” I breathed and I watched him laugh and he leaned down and kissed me.

“To me it will be,” He said after breaking the kiss, “won’t it be for you?”

“It will be something, I guess,” I said looking up at him. He seemed so sure of things it nearly put me at ease. It made me want to try. Part of me wondered if maybe he felt more strongly about us than I did. More sure of what we were. To me it was still new and happening fast, but I couldn’t help but like it even though to me Clinton had just stopped being a bully.

“Do you trust me?” He asked and I had to admit to myself that I did. We were together and nothing that happened tonight would have if we weren’t. Feeling my face flush I wondered if he could read it on my face. That until this moment I had my doubts and knew how bad the timing was, in this moment for what we were about to do. When he frowned seeming unsure of himself I smiled and nodded my head. He took a breath, his smile returning. I watched him put the condom on me, feeling the tightness of it was a completely new sensation that would take some getting used to. Then he squirted some more lube this time directly on my cock. Then I watched him reach behind himself and I saw his eyes squint slightly. Then he hesitated for a few moments before he straddled me. He kept his hand on my cock guiding me. Then he looked down at me as he began to slowly sit. I could feel the resistance, my heart hammering in my chest. When the head of my cock slid inside him he let out a groan and I went rigid beneath him. I reached up with both arms, my cast clunky and awkward and grabbed both sides of his waist. He hovered over me, his legs shaking as he kept most of his weight on his knees. Then I felt him slowly lowering himself further.

When I was completely inside him he let out a sigh. The warmth of him and the tightness caused me to shudder beneath him. Afraid to move, giving him time to adjust, I held on to his waist. When he finally did start moving slowly up and down I relaxed. Then he leaned forward putting his hands on my chest and I started moving my hips forward, trying to match his pace.

“Are you ok?” I whispered, but he only nodded and sped up. Reaching up with my left hand I felt the tightness of his abdominal muscles. Then I looked down to see his cock hard again. When I reached down and started jacking him off he moaned and looked down at me.

After a few minutes of this slower, even rhythm he slowly lifted himself off me. He grabbed my hand off his cock and as he started leaning back he pulled me into a sitting position. Then I crawled to my knees, his legs on either side of me.

“Go ahead,” he said when I hesitated. After a few moments I scooted closer to him and slowly pushed back inside him. I watched him close his eyes when I moved my hips slowly and as gently as I could, too afraid to do more. He reached up and grabbed the back of my head and pulled me down against him. Supporting as much of my weight as I could on my left arm, my right one resting against his shoulder. When our lips met I relaxed and started going faster, my thrusts going deeper. Then he leaned back and I kissed his neck.

“Keep going,” he grunted and I felt his hands slide down my sides to my waist causing me to shudder. At this quicker and harder pace I felt myself coming closer to cumming. I raised up slightly and started moving a little faster. Then I felt him take his right hand off my waist and I raised up putting both my hands on his waist again. His legs on either side of my waist. I watched him begin to quickly jack himself off. He watched me as I kept fucking him. When he let out a moan I looked down to see him cumming again and I let out a moan of my own and not long after I shut my eyes and stopped thrusting as I came. When it was over I pulled out of him and collapsed onto the bed beside him. Both of us were breathing heavily and covered in a fine sheen of sweat. After a few moments I got out of bed and walked across the hall to the bathroom. I pulled the condom off and not really knowing what to do with it, I tossed it into the toilet and flushed. When I turned around I saw Clinton standing in the doorway smiling. When I smiled back he entered the bathroom.

“How are you?” I asked after we fell silent.

“I feel great,” he answered, smirking. “Might be walking funny in the morning or something, but right now I feel great.”

“Oh,” I said and he stepped closer to me and kissed me.

“I think we need a shower,” he said and I smiled and nodded.

After wrapping up my arm we stepped into the shower and he adjusted the hot water then he stepped under the water and I watched him close his eyes and let it wash over him. Then he stepped out and let me under it. With my eyes closed I smelled his shampoo. When I stepped out of the spray of the water he squirted some into the palm of my hand and I reached up and lathered my hair. After everything that happened and the heat of the shower I felt tired. It had to be getting close to sunrise. He hadn’t stopped smiling after what we did and every time I looked at him I felt a small excited flutter in my chest. I could tell he was just as tired as I was though and after we both took turns under the shower washing up with some body wash he turned the water off and stepped out grabbing two towels. He tossed one to me and I dried off. Then I followed him back to his room and he pulled out two pairs of boxer briefs.

He looked at the messed up state of the bed and glanced at me. I felt my face get hot. Then he sighed and took my hand. He led me to the guest room I slept in the first night I stayed here with him. The storm had finally played out, just the sound of a calm rain hitting the window was all that was left. I ripped the plastic and the tape off my arm balled it up then he handed me a pair of his boxer briefs and I bent down and pulled them on. Then he pulled back the covers and I followed him as he slid under them. I leaned over and turned off the lamp then relaxed, closing my eyes and smiled when I felt him move closer in the bed and drape his arm across my stomach and I wondered if anything could feel better than this.

The next morning I woke up to the bed moving. Then I heard a sing-song bell and I looked over to see Clinton sitting up in the bed. When the bell came again he let out a groan.

“Who the fuck would be ringing my doorbell?” He asked and I glanced up at a decorative wall clock. It was past one in the afternoon and I frowned. I should have already been home by now. Mom was probably worried sick.

“I need to get home,” I said, pulling the covers off me. He glanced up at the clock and I heard him sigh.

“Will you be in trouble?” He asked as we both slid out of bed and walked out into the hallway as the doorbell rang through the house again. This time followed by a loud banging on the door and someone’s muffled voice bellowing at us.

“That could be Dad now,” I said, but Clinton had his head slightly cocked and was frowning.

“That’s Cj,” Clinton said and he looked over at me. “I’ll get rid of him, please stay up here.”

“Ok,” I said, frowning and I watched Clinton walk down the stairs and disappear around the corner leading towards the living room and the front door. When I heard the screen door open and close I stepped back into the guest room.

“What the fuck dude?” Cj asked his voice loud and carrying. I felt my face getting hot and my hand tighten to a fist. Then I heard them coming towards the kitchen.

“What?” Clinton asked and when I saw them at the bottom of the stairs, Clinton walking slightly ahead of Cj as if trying to guide him back towards the kitchen I stepped back slowly and closed the door leaving a tiny crack, too scared the sound of it closing completely would be overheard.

“I tried to call you, the fucking storm cancelled the rest of the trip,” Cj said and I smirked rolling my eyes.

“Happens,” Clinton said and I heard Cj snort.

“I know you’re pissed that I didn’t take you,” Cj countered, “did you learn some loyalty or are you still hanging out with the football fag.”

“He’s not a fag,” Clinton argued and I sighed not wanting Clinton to push Cj too bad. “And I am still pissed at you for ditching me.”

“Dad said he had to move into the apartments,” Cj said laughing, “his dumbass mother’s store finally went under.”

“Yeah,” Clinton said and I heard him sigh. “Glad your Dad finally got his way, all that extra room for the new club.”

“And Corey living in that dump and his broken arm,” Cj continued as if Clinton didn’t say anything. “I can’t wait to see him.”

“I think we should leave him alone,” Clinton said and I felt my stomach twist. “He can’t get any worse, why kick him when he’s down?”

“Because I’m fucked and tired of seeing these people in town worship his ass just because he can throw a damn football,” Cj answered, “get out of my way, let’s play some Xbox or something.”

“I was just headed out, going to the pool,” Clinton said, “and it’s not like he even pays much attention to what people think. Just drop it alright?”

“Pool’s closed for cleaning, it always is after a storm,” Cj countered, “and I’ll do whatever the fuck I want.”

“I know,” Clinton said, “but I’m still pissed at you over the trip and I’m busy.”

“Do you have a girl up there?” Cj asked, sounding amused.

“What?” Clinton asked, “No.”

“Finally lose your virginity, which slut is it?” Cj asked not lowering his voice at all. “You better not have touched Jenny.”

“And why’s that?” Clinton asked as Cj started up the stairs.

“Well I guess she’s safe,” Cj answered and my heart raced as they entered the hall at the top of the stairs. The light of the hallway caused a brief shadow as they passed. “I mean she was dating the dirty fag.”

“Just shut the fuck up about Corey,” Clinton yelled, “I know he’s a loser, but fuck, he has no money, his family has no real pull here, they keep him locked up at home, he’s nothing…”

“Right, and you need to remember that,” Cj argued and I felt the warning in his voice, even if he didn’t say it out right, “get some shorts on or something dude.”

“No,” Clinton countered, “I’m busy, I’ll stop by later and we can go to the lake, the fish bite better after a storm.”

“Is she hiding in the guest room then?” Cj asked and I quickly closed the door and locked it. “Well fuck it’s true.”

“Please just leave before you make it worse for me,” Clinton said and I heard Cj laughing as they walked back down the hallway and down the stairs.

Then I heard their voices fading towards the living room. I walked over to the bed and sat down too scared to unlock the door. I felt sick, my palms sweaty, and my face flushed. It was too close, one quick step through a bedroom door and it would have been all over for me. Cj would know. If I had driven here and my car parked out front he would have known I was here, that I had stayed the night.

When I heard someone bound up the carpeted stairs and knock on the bedroom door I hesitated before I stood and walked over to it.

“Open the door, it’s me,” Clinton said and I reached up and hesitated again before finally turning the lock. Then I took a few steps back and Clinton turned the knob and pushed the door open and stood in the doorway. His face was flushed and his eyes were wide and studying me.

“I need to go,” I said, my voice cracking.

“I know,” he said and I felt like I was punched in the stomach. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s Cj,” I said shrugging.

“I should have punched him,” he argued, stepping towards me, but I held up my hand.

“Is that really what you think?” I asked surprised at the sudden anger that washed over me.

“No, I know punching him wouldn’t be a good idea…” he started then trailed off then he stepped in front of me looking surprised. “Oh no, not all that, I just said that to shut him up.”

“It’s what you all think,” I countered, “it has to be, it was so easy for you to say.”

“It’s nothing like that,” he argued, putting his hand on my shoulder, but I stepped away from him.

“It is,” I whispered my throat tight, I knew if I tried to speak my voice would be too weak. “Not even a month ago, you would have meant all of it.”

“You can’t hold that against me, not after all this,” he said, stepping in front of me when I started towards the door again.

“Let me go,” I said glaring at him, tears blurring my vision. After a few moments his shoulders drooped and he stepped out of my way. I walked across the hall and found the clothes I was wearing the night before and pulled them on. When I stepped out into the hallway I saw Clinton picking up the balled up piece of plastic wrap and tape that I had used to keep my arm dry before I turned and walked down the stairs. He didn’t follow me as I made my way through his house and out the front door.

The air was humid and quiet. There were green leaves from the wind scattered in the lawn along with small limbs and twigs. Not wanting to wait around just in case Cj came back to see if Clinton was in the middle of taking who ever Cj thought Clinton had slept with last night home and ran across the lawn to Jenny’s house, relieved when I saw her car in the driveway. I quickly knocked on the door and when I heard someone walking through the house I forced a smile and waited for the door to open.

“Wow that’s strange,” Jenny said after seeing me standing on her porch. “I was just going to call you.”

“Oh?” I asked and she looked me over.

“Yeah,” she said, “are those the clothes you wore last night?”

“Why were you going to call?” I asked and she glanced over her shoulder then stepped out onto the porch closing the door behind her.

“You look like hell,” she said frowning, “like you’ve seen a ghost, or you’re about to throw up, or something.”

“It’s nothing,” I countered trying to smile. “I was sort of hoping you would give me a ride home, I would walk but I’m already really late getting back.”

“Let me grab my keys, I can’t believe you’ve not been home yet, it’s like one,” she said after studying me for a few moments. I could almost hear the questions she wanted to ask me. She opened the door and darted back inside for a few seconds then reappeared, closing the door behind her. I followed her to her car and got into the passenger seat.

“You never told me why you were going to call me,” I said after she slid in and closed the door. We fastened our seatbelts and she started the car.

“I was going to see if you wanted to sneak over to Cj’s,” Jenny said, “even though it has been awhile, if his dog is the mother she’d still show signs.”

“That would have been difficult to do,” I said and she stopped backing out of the driveway to look at me. “He’s back from his trip.”

“And he dropped in on Clinton,” she added, putting the car in park, her eyes going wide. “He didn’t catch you did he?”

“No,” I said, “he thinks I’m a girl, I hid in the guestroom.”

“That’s good then,” she said, sounding relieved she put the car back into reverse.

“Yeah,” I said feeling the anger I felt earlier resurfacing now that I was in the car with Jenny. She was part of the same group of people. None of us were really all that well off, we lived in a small town with little importance. Most people probably would pass through it and not even notice much about it. It was home though and like all towns there were important people and then everyone else fell in line behind them. I had never felt the divide as strongly as I did now.

“Well actually it would be better that he is home,” she said as she backed out onto the road and turned towards town. “This way I can just visit.”

“Since you’re his friend,” I said, turning to look at her.

“I wouldn’t call him that,” she countered, glancing at me before turning back to the road.

“A few weeks ago you did,” I said and she slowed to a stop in the middle of the road and I glanced behind us to see if anyone was there.

“People change their minds Corey,” she countered, studying me. “What happened after Cj dropped by?”

“Nothing, he just pisses me off,” I said smiling and she started driving again.

“Don’t let him bother you,” Jenny countered and I saw her roll her eyes. “He’s just an asshole and he’s jealous of you, that has to be it.”

“No one should be jealous of me,” I argued shrugging. “I’m a nobody.”

“You’re the star quarterback in a town that lives for high school football,” Jenny countered, smiling she reached over and patted me on the arm. “And he’s just the Mayor’s son.”

“Can’t throw a football with a broken arm, Jenny,” I said as we entered town and I saw the apartment coming into view.

“People still like you, everyone does,” Jenny said as she flipped her turn signal on and turned into the public parking lot.

“Thanks for the ride,” I said and she smiled.

“You’ll apologize for whatever mean thing you said to Clinton,” Jenny said and I looked over at her. She had one eyebrow cocked and her arms were crossed over her chest. “I mean why else is it me bringing you home and not him?”

“He had to catch up to Cj,” I said, shrugging. She didn’t stop looking at me so I unbuckled the seat belt and opened the car door.

“Corey,” she said, “I put in an ad with the paper for the puppies to be adopted, do you want to help with that?”

“Yeah,” I said, “when are you having it?”

“Friday, today is Tuesday, right?” She asked and I shrugged, in the summer it was difficult to keep track of the days of the week. She smiled and glanced down at her cell phone. “Yeah it’s Tuesday, so Friday.”

“Ok, I’ll be there,” I said and slid out of the car closing the door behind me. I didn’t look back at her as I made my way up the rusty stairs to the front door.

When I stepped inside I saw Mom and Dad curled up on the couch watching television. Seeing me Mom smiled, but she also looked relieved. Dad frowned and turned down the volume on the television.

“And where has your ass been all day?” Dad asked and I saw Mom elbow him in the side, but he ignored her.

“We stayed up most of the night, I just woke up,” I answered, reaching up and scratching the back of my head.

“The Cops busted up a party there last night,” Dad said, “not long after the storm started.”

“Oh right, I left after those people got there, stayed with a friend,” I said and Mom smiled up at Dad.

“Well if you’re lying you’d likely still be in jail,” he said reaching for the remote, “or they would have called to tell me they have you.”

“Yeah,” I said shrugging as I walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator door. Seeing leftover spaghetti from lunch I smiled and grabbed the bowl and sat it on the counter. Then I removed the plastic wrap and forked some out on a plate. After warming it up I sat down at the table and I watched Mom stand up and stretch. She smiled as she walked around the kitchen and sat down across from me.

“So Greg came by this morning,” she said, crossing her arms on the table.

“Oh?” I said and debated whether or not to pretend I didn’t already know he was back in town, but I didn’t know what he had told her.

“He said he ran into you yesterday, just wanted to see if you were up to hanging out,” she said and I was glad that I didn’t. Honesty was always best when it came to Mom. I could lie to Dad if he wasn’t paying close attention and get away with it, but not with her.

“I don’t like that Greg character,” Dad said from the living room and Mom sighed. “A college kid shouldn’t want to hang out with a high school kid.”

“They’re only a year or so apart,” Mom argued, turning to me she rolled her eyes and shook her head.

“He’s going to be a Senior, I think,” I offered and Mom smiled when Dad didn’t say anything more.

“So what did you guys do last night?” She asked after allowing me time to take a bite of food and swallow it.

“Played some basketball, Cameron brought pizza after he got off work,” I answered hoping I didn’t blush or look embarrassed.

“I hope Cameron is keeping up with conditioning,” Dad grumbled from the couch. “Since you won’t be playing.”

“So you’re not making me throw with my left hand then?” I asked, feeling relieved. I didn’t even want to think about what those practices would be like.

“Your Mother told me she would divorce me if I pushed you out on the field with a broken arm,” Dad answered, “even though I told her that doctors can make you a hardened cast, nevermind though you’re not playing.”

“Alright,” I said, taking another bite of food.

“But you’re still going to help me during the season and you better start keeping your ass in shape,” Dad bellowed as he stood and groaned when his knees popped from sitting too long in one position. Mom busted out laughing, but I looked down knowing if he caught me I would catch all his anger. When he walked down the hall to the bathroom I looked back up at Mom.

“Thank you for getting him to change his mind,” I said and she shook her head.

“I think in the end he would have come to it himself,” Mom countered glancing over her shoulder at him. “I just couldn’t take that chance in case he didn’t.”

“And I probably have you to thank over me not being forced to do his camp, right?” I asked and she looked proud of herself.

“Well it doesn’t make any real sense and all that dirt and sweat can’t be good for your cast,” she answered, “that and I know how your father works, he’d make you do something you’re not supposed to and I’ll not be there to overrule him.”

“So all this happened that night you punished him,” I said and for a moment I wished I didn’t bring it up because her face fell and she sighed.

“Yes I thought since I had him down in the back and listening to me, I could get him to agree to a lot of things,” she said, her smile returning as she took my empty plate away from me. “So what are you going to do today?”

“Probably hang out around here,” I answered shrugging, “I’ve not been around much.”

“That’s how summers are,” she said offering me a smile. “Especially for teenagers, you don’t want to be stuck in a house with your mother.”

“Today, I kind of do,” I countered and I saw her eyebrows raise slightly.

“Well that’s too bad,” she said glancing over at the digital clock on the microwave. “Because I have a job interview at Jenny’s veterinarian’s clinic in about an hour.”

“Good luck,” I said and she reached over and patted my arm before she stood and walked over to the kitchen sink and quickly washed my empty plate. “Oh and by the way, where has Trouble gotten to?”

“Oh shit,” I said and smacked my forehead with the palm of my hand.

“Corey,” Mom hissed, shaking her head, “language.”

“Sorry,” I said standing up I walked over and kissed her on the cheek before I walked around the counter to my room. I changed into clean clothes and grabbed my wallet and keys shaking my head and bounded down the metal stairs hoping she wasn’t too put out with me by the time I got there.

B) ......Well what a surprise, another chapter so soon! Nice touch in the begging scene, must of done a lot of research eh Krista? :lmao: CJ does seem to be able to spoil things, doesn't he, and he doesn't even have to be there, just mentioning his name puts a gloom out there. The remark about Corey's mother and the CJ's dad getting what he was after (expanding his club) makes me wonder if they weren't set up! I think CJ's bluster is going to go down real fast after puppygate is exposed, but I also think he will be exposed for something else. Well great chapter, looking forward to more and to read other reviews!

Lol Benji. One of these days I'm going to prove to you that I've turned over a new leaf. Well, I'm not sure if research is what you'll call it. It was strange to write a... more in depth sex scene for me. I've not really done it. 'Puppygate' haha.. IF Cj is guilty, funny how we automatically think he is. Are they innocent, the Evan's family? I guess we'll see.

Great chapter, Krista! :)

I must admit though, I was disappointed the storm brought Cj back. He is one of the biggest douchebags ever in the history of douchebags.:pissed: I know Clinton was agreeing with Cj somewhat by calling Corey a loser and all, but stil, did he really have to do that? I know he tried to tell Cj to just leave Corey alone, but jeez, that whole exchange just angered me. And Cj is such a fucking asshole, he just tells Clinton to move b/c he wants to go upstairs and play video games! In Clinton's own house he tells him to move! AND he tells Clinton "I'll do what I fucking want" (or something like that). What a tool.

C&C (shit, too many C names now with that ass Cj back), won't have many chances of being alone now. Clinton will have to think up excuses and lies to Cj just to get away to see Corey. I don't know how that's going to work. Clinton is too tied with Cj to just tell him to just fuck off; I don't think Clinton has it in him to do that. Too bad, Cj needs someone to knock him down a peg and an ice pick to hit that chip off his fucking shoulder.

There, I've said my peace. Or is it piece? I always forget and I'm too lazy to Google it. lol

As always, Krista, you leave me wanting more. :2thumbs:

Thanks for reviewing Lisa! Yeah wayyy too many C names, add Corey's mother and you have Cora, Clinton, Cj, and Corey. :P I have a long love for names that start with C.

Yes, Cj and Clinton are too bonded probably so much so that Clinton can't see how toxic the friendship may be. I've tried to be subtle with it with how Amber, Jenny, and etc react around Clinton, like calling Clinton his lap dog and all that. Definitely a big personality.

And I think the correct word is piece, but after a good rant people tend to feel better so, peace works too. :D haha.
