Growing Wings And Other Things - 7. #Cartoons<o>_<o>

Throughback to the days of cartoons. Didn't want it to be so short but my brother Lucian thought all my poems are tooo long......... ~~~~~~

Cartoons

Anybody who is anybody
Can't deny
When you were a child
You watched cartoons
And so did I

From the monsters and the heroes
And the faries and the games
There were plenty to watch
I bet you still know the names

As children we watched as our heroes fought
Not one minute we doubted
Not one moment we thought
This can't be real it must be a lie
How can this be true?
Why don't they ever die?

Cartoons gave us our greatest memory
Our mothers despised them
It was their greatest enemy
When we were jumping on beds she'd say
Do your homework!
Please get down
But mom I'm superman!
Watch me fly around!

It's time for bed she'd say
What is that sound?
That sound is me mama
Taking the bad guys down

At morning we rushed to school
And we excitedly asked
Did you see yesterday's episode?
Man it was cool!

Then we grew older
And the cartoons did too
No more cartoons for me
No more cartoons for you

My favourite cartoons were Pokemon, Yugioh, beyblades, Dragon Ball z, Wind Club, Totally spies, X-Men What were yours? #ChildhoodCartoons
