Growing Wings And Other Things - 4. The Good And The Bad Sound

This was suppose to be a poem completely about the greatness of quietness but then I started writing in the dark and I heard another sound so it evolved into something a bit darker. Enjoy!

Can you hear that sound?
The sound of quietness
The sound that nobody hears
Even if most of us have a pair of ears
It's a sound that's so profound
So rare that it makes you spellbound
I can hear it
it's so loud
It tends to happen when no one's around
Never has such quietness caused someone to frown
Even the loud- mouths like it when the sound goes down

However I do hate one particular sound
That sound in the dark is by far the worst
Your brain tells you there hides a monster
Who greedily wants to quench it's thirst
This sound often causes you to tremble
As your eyes gaze into the darkness and you think to yourself
What does that shadow resemble?
I beg of you to not be afraid my dear
After all you are not alone
I am here

How was that? Please support my other project Tales That Toby Tell, you can find it on here :)
