Growing Wings And Other Things - 17. The Earth As We Know It

I thought some recognition was in order!

The Earth as we know it
Has inspired us day by day
It carved our paths and paved our way
When you write, the Earth inspired you
When you cried, the Earth made the sky blue
And cheered you up, when you were down
It brought out the sun, it cured your frown.
Inspired, we wrote, we created things
But we should never forget
Earth granted us these wings
Grow them big and grow them strong
And with thanks, sing the Earth a little song.
Beautiful and free
It Has given us all it could
Remember that next time
When you hear the crackling sound of it's burning wood
The Earth As We know it
Is our greatest Poet
