Rhymes - 12. March Flurries.

Poetry Prompt 8 - Quatrains: Spring Sadness

Tender buds spring forth with vigour, admirable.

Young love, charged, electric, strong words too quickly form.

But transient is infatuation, fallible.

March flurries bury the hasty: it’s a cold storm.

By having four independent lines, you give the impression that you have simply compressed the 8 lines of the challenge in half. That's interesting, and clever. You offer up a nice and consistent metaphor: springtime = love; if love's mentioned too early, it could get buried by springtime snow.

Please visit the prompt again, and I will put some thoughts there on how you can practice to get a 10-syllable line. Thanks for taking the challenge!

Thank you for the review! :) Oh I just misunderstood because you mentioned that greek poetry used 12-syllable lines and I assumed it was permissible to use 10 or 12 syllables. It's entirely an oversight. :) But thank you for the challenge, it was a great fun.
