The Sock Drawer - 22. Minerals glitter, people lose, and light still exists.

Minerals glitter, people lose, and light still exists.

You are lost, I'm lost in you.

I don't want to get out, and I don't think I can.

We're suspended somehow, because everything's new.

Shiny, loud, and intricate, such wonderful clutter.

Such beautiful glinting nonsense, with so much sense in it, in you.

You're a rockstar, I'm your biggest fan.

What other thing than adoration could I possibly utter?

The caves are glittering with crystals and veins of precious ore.

If I'd just stay in them and sleep, watch them, sigh, adore?

Impossible to think that soon they'll be no more.

They have such wealth for me in store,

and I will taste them all before...

They will not be my Lenore.

Blood Gem will not be covered with dust,

grass will not grow over it, nor an earthen crust,

as long as Shade does as it must,

cares for its shine and guards its trust.

font size="3">This is the last of these extremely personalised poems (Mylord and Gift of Brilliance are the others). So don't worry, I'll be less cryptic from now on.
(This one originally had to do with an attempt to prevent a suicide.)

Heya, Doc! I didn't mean for you to stop writing your beautiful, deep, intricate poetry. Just because I may not understand the poem, doesn't mean others won't.

Keep writing, Doc!! :)

Of course! I just meant I was going to try and keep it decipherable.

Thank you all the same for the encouragement. :]
