The Sock Drawer - 33. In for a penny, in for a pound

p>(song)

In for a penny, in for a pound

In for a penny

in for a pound

is what they said to her

when she was found.

In for a penny

in for a pound

you knew you were in for

this merry-go-round

and merry and merry

you did go around

in for a penny

in for a pound.

You danced with him

and let him believe

showed bits of skin

so you were in deep

you were in deep

for a kiss, pretty miss,

for a penny, a pound.

The deeper you delve

into sin, into vice,

the steeper the price

you bring on yourself.

In for a penny,

one kiss, one too many,

should have known you were bound

to be in for the pound.

In for a penny

in for a pound

is what they said to her

when she was found

when she was found

bleeding and torn

nine months before

her bastard was born.

That was a pretty dark poem/song, Doc.

I loved it! :P Seriously though, that was really good. It gave me chills each time I read it.

Awesome job! :)

This is a compelling, terrifying verse. One knows what's going on, but can't look away from the horror.

Then it worked. Thank you for not looking away.
