Just Some Poems - 7. ∆trying∆

i am trying,

tying myself together,

but you walk into the room,

unraveling my knots.

i sit in awe of you,

cerulean eyes looking away,

away from lonely old me,

the grotesque creature in the corner.

i am no adonis,

no paragon of handsome,

i am all but me,

just me.

/ / /

i walk,

walk into the room,

the room where you are,

where my obsession sits.

often sneaking surreptitious glances,

mesmerisingly grey eyes,

sad eyes,

eyes i wish i could make happy.

wishing you would see me,

knowing you would not dare,

turn your face to me,

if only for a second.
