April Musings - 7. Pulse and Drought

I wrote this haiku for the Love is Love anthology, but unfortunately I read the time for the submission deadline wrong and missed it. I'd still like to share it here, though.

Pulse

Red wails and flashes

Blue hastens to the fallen

A rainbow appears

The area I live in is currently suffering a severe drought, which inspired this piece.

Drought

Wizened stalks fold, defeated,

finding fractured fissures

burning for nature's quenching embrace.

A big thank you to AC Benus and Parker Owens for their input. You guys are awesome! Please leave a like or review and let me know how you liked my poems. :)

I totally agree with Tim, such lovely poem to be missed from anthology. Those two Haiku's have their own specialty according to love and nature. I loved them both. Lovely poems Val... :)

Thanks, Emi. I'm glad you liked them. Only the first one is a haiku, though ;) Thanks for the review!
