Three Strikes - 4. Tink Party
*** *** *** ***
My bedroom was freakishly large compared to the moderate size of the house as a whole. One corner of the room was devoted solely to fashion preparation with ten feet of mirrors on two walls, which met each other in the corner.
It was basically the perfect place to get ready for anything—an event, a date, the gym, a trip to the market, and with a little patience, it was large enough to accommodate six men. That corner of paradise was essentially the only reason we met at my house. Well, that and my large en-suite bathroom with double sinks and matching vanity mirrors.
Besides the twins, no one in the group wore the same size, so there was very little we were able to share amongst ourselves, which was a bummer because Oliver had fabulous clothes, but he was also the smallest of the group. Allé was closest to my size, but he was way too flamboyant with his apparel choices for my personal taste. Although, he managed to make the bold designs and colors work for him.
As I turned back and forth in front of the mirrors, making sure to check all of my angles, I asked.
“How does this look?”
I was wearing a short (above mid thigh), olive-green, button-up romper with a mock collar.
“Like there’s no chance the rest of us are going to get laid—ever!”
Nelly complained, still standing in sweatpants with his brother, Nick. Oliver, on the other hand, was wearing a thin, neon-yellow, cropped sweatshirt and something that would loosely be classified as daisy dukes
“Well, he’s not wrong. The green is really flattering your skin and it’s making the green in your eyes pop. Can I tink you?” Oliver said, laughing.
Being tinked means being shimmered or glittered like Tinkerbell. Sammy excitedly clapped his hands together as an eager grin stretched across his face.
“Fuck, yes. Let me finish my hair, first, and then you can go to town, outside of course. That shit doesn’t clean up too easily.”
“Oh, I want in!”
Everyone else looked equally excited about me being tinked.
“Okay, we’ll do a tink party in the yard before we leave. Speaking of which—Nilly, you guys need to scram and get dressed. We’re leaving in five minutes,” Allé announced.
With Allé’s last call looming over our heads, we all began the frantic last minute touch ups. I was mostly finished as I only needed to do a last minute moisturizing and touch up my hair. I was happy with the extra volume and poof I had going on.
Normally, my hair is pretty straight forward and clean looking, but tonight, I opted for the very meticulously, time consuming; slightly messy look, which required a lot of product to keep it from turning into ‘swamp hair’ by the end of the evening.
“Ho-ly shit! What are you guys wearing?”
Nick and Nelly sashayed into the room wearing—I didn’t know for sure. It was spandex, long sleeve, and kind of romper-ish, except for the mid-sections were missing and the bottoms were boy-shorts. So it was also, kind of whore-ish Neither of them are in especially great shape, so it was a ballsy move on their part, but who the fuck cares. I let out a loud wolf whistle to indicate my stamp of approval.
“Nelly, I’m the one who’s not going to get laid with you and your brother advertising this (I waved my hand between the both of them) two-for-one sale! Hell! I might even try to take you guys home tonight.”
Nelly’s easily excitable skin flushed bright red at my compliment. He never said anything, but I’d always suspected he’d had a bit of a crush on me, which would’ve explained his negative reactions every time I looked good. His compliments were always tainted with anger, frustration, and maybe jealousy?
I couldn’t be sure, it was only a guess. I took a picture of the twins in their little getups, and of Allé in his neon-blue and black-striped ruffled shirt and purple leather pants that looked painted on, and sent it to Drew. I wanted to see his face in person, because I was sure the picture wouldn’t do the live thing any justice.
Me: Here’s a little peepshow. Hope ur dressed similarly. C U in 30. [Image]
He must’ve been by his phone because his response was almost instant.
Drew: Good God! This is going to be epic. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Wait until U C Aar. I’m so dead *laughing emoji*
Me: Pic?
Drew: No. I want to see your face *winky face/tongue sticking out emoji*
I couldn’t help but smile at the last sentence. Yes, I knew he meant my reaction, but I had no problem living in a temporary fantasy world where Drew was gay and in love with me. He was so cute. I’d almost settle for a bi-curious night of exploration. Almost. I was ripped from my fantasy when Oliver grabbed my shoulders and peeked at my phone.
“What’s got you all smiles over here?—Oh, it looks as if D’s got a crush on Drew!”
I pulled my phone back as the room filled with giggles and chants about Donovan and Drew kissing in a tree. Ha, I wished!
“I don’t. Isn’t it time to go now? We need to tink-up and get going.” I said defensively and started to push everyone out of the room and toward the front door.
We stood on the lawn while helping each other apply various ranges (but mostly generous amounts) of glitter. I opted for bronze highlighter on my cheekbones and a light shimmering spray on my arms, legs, and a little in my hair. It was nothing too obvious, but it would definitely look great under the lights in the club.
I definitely looked good enough for some good, decent sex.
