Re-Verse - 7. Oneself

A series of hay(na)ku.

What’s
Wrong with
The world today?

Yet
I am
Who I am

Hashtag
[Whatever] - that's
So trendy now

Yet
I am
Who I am

Facts
Don’t care
About your feelings

Yet
I am
Who I am

Don’t
Change reality
With your delusion

Yet
I am
Who I am

Degenerate
Scum, a
Generation of narcissists

Still
I am
Who I am.

Phrases in italics were found in the comments section of one partiular BBC3 video on YouTube. They in no way reflect my thoughts or feelings.
This is reworked version of a poem first posted on my external blog.

Those italics contain some timely and poignant truths to me... some would say solid judgments, yet the refrain/chorus reminds us we all see things in our own way. I love the stubbornness of the final refrain. This poem works well whether you are trying to understand yourself, or even when when you've arrived, and like who you are. Just my thoughts... I have no certainty of your intent, northie, but I liked it. :)  Cheers... Gary....
