It's would be difficult for anybody to move away from their high school when they are fairly close to graduation leaving friends and a long time crush would be tough enough if he was moving somewhere else in the United States in this case our main character Lautaro had to move to another country where another language is spoken where his new classmate could sense he is a bit of an outsider even he didn't say where he was from and while his parents are not bad people it is far from a good situation which made this move happen. This author does a great job  to make the reader feel his anxiety while adjusts and wouldn't you know it he meets another crush .So do yourself a favor and explore with  Lautaro his exciting and scary journey

It's hard writing reviews for the best stories because whatever I write doesn't feel like enough. This is one of those stories.

In Southward, we follow Lautaro as he moves to a new country and has to deal with too many changes at once: new culture, new friends, and of course - new boy crushes. All the while, he is coming to terms with leaving his best friend behind.

It's one of those stories that you can tell was written from the heart, infused with the author's own experiences. The writing is excellent, and the vivid descriptions of people and places paint a wonderful image of Lautaro's new life in Argentina.

The love story between the main character and his new love interest is another highlight - it's touching and feels realistic at all times.

Overall, Southward is a brilliant coming of age story that everyone should read, regardless of age and genre preferences.

A fantastic coming-of-age story.

The unique setting was very enjoyable! It's a nice change to see a story on GA that doesn't take place in the "usual" countries. I really liked how atmospheric some scenes were - the descriptive writing really helped to immerse me in the city of Buenos Aires and its local culture. The scene where

Spoiler

Lauti was on Valentín's motorcycle and they drove through the city to Valentín's house

was particularly vivid. It was also fun learning about Argentinian culture by Googling some of the terms mentioned. (Wonder where I can find mate where I live? haha)

Definitely deserves a re-read in the future.
