Good Guys Finish Last

   (1 review)
Sub-genres: Drama, General Romance

My second story, it is about a High School graduate and his group of friends. It is likely another roughly written story, I was most definitely still trying out the whole writing thing when I wrote it. So I know some things may be unclear or confusing. But, like I said, early work. So I hope at least some people can enjoy it. First posted in 2003/2004, I was in High School at the time.

Jeff Burton

The author warned you that this was an early work from her high school years and the nostalgia drips from the 2000s way of story telling.

it’ll make you cringe, it’ll make you count the tropes and you’ll have two endings to choose from in this hot mess of teenage angst.

But under it all is a story of protagonist who lost damn near everything and still managed to find strength through friendship, a new love and the memory of a loved one that just wouldn’t fade.

Its one of the better stories of the period and an easy read that’ll still make you laugh, cry and cringe at everything in between.
