This is a totally new piece from a long time author as she steps out of her comfort zone with not only a new genre but a complete change in narrative style than what she’s known for.

But don’t let that put you off from reading this story. The two main characters Nicholas and Noah really come off the page, as the author maintains her ability to weave words into one hell of a setting.

While the tale may end here, I hope this is a first of many more great things from this Signature Author.

A well-written, visceral, and nuanced werewolf tale.

Krista's writing style enhances the story with superb details that immerses the reader into the story, allowing you to experience the riveting plot as it unfolds.

In terms of character, Nicholas is a fascinating character, he's a tortured soul, who was drifting through life until the fateful encounter at the start of this story. You will discover his backstory and insecurities over the course of the story.

A great read for people seeking a story that draws you in with its main character.

This isn't your typical werewolf story and you'll enjoy the author's slightly different and interesting take on the theme.  The characters are fresh and well-developed and the storyline is compelling.  Nicholas is a tortured soul who isn't comfortable in either world, and Noah has own struggles to deal with, although not with his job as a park ranger.  Noah has been raised to know that werewolves exist and isn't repulsed by the thought of them, as is demonstrated when he seeks Nicholas out to ask him for a favor.  This is a marvelous short story with a good share of excitement, and it's one you should be eager to read, even if tales about werewolves isn't your favorite genre.
