Poems of Reflection - 4. Chapter 4: A Peace of Mind w/ our Demons
I for one wasn't doing well for a bit, so I decided to take
some time off and battle my demons as well as reflect
which brings us to my newest and latest poem.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I've won my battle
with my demons. I'm back, ready to create and share more
content with everyone.
Happy Saturday everyone, and in case I don't get to say it
tomorrow, Happy Father's Day!!!
Always apart of me since the beginning
It’s only fitting you’re with me in the end
This isn’t necessarily goodbye
We’ve been through so much
We might actually miss one another.
Deep down, its unavoidable
We’ll cross paths once again
And again until the end of time
Then again, this could be the last time
We see one another, might as well be pleasant.
Moving forward may seem impossible but
Us working together was also
The light and the dark, two sides of the same coin
The best way to describe you and I
Giving one another strength, guidance and ultimately acceptance.
No more violence, we can truly be at peace
We did things; some good, some bad, but always necessary
That was the pact we made, by any means otherwise
We both wouldn’t be here right now, in this moment
Looking back, I wouldn’t change any of this.
