Dak Ross - My Journal - Prologue. Prologue

There are some themes of death and depression throughout.

Hi, my name is Spencer Ross. I’m not much of a writer, but that’s okay. This is my nephew Dak’s story, not mine. His real name is Dakota as he’ll tell you himself, but I will share one thing ahead of time. As soon as he was old enough to realize Dakota Fanning was a girl, he insisted on being called Dak. Kids can be cruel. He got enough of that in his late teens for another reason I’ll let his journal share. Everyone knowing he was named after a girl, yeah, my sister-in-law really did do that, would have given him more headaches than he could probably take.

Anyway, I found Dak’s journal after, well after something happened. The reason why will be explained fully in due time. So here is his journal, mostly as he wrote it, about the only editing I’ve done is separate words where he had them runningtogetherlikethis.
