Song For Guy - 8. Chapter 8
I didn’t know what to say to that. Mum, Dad and Jason were all staring at me waiting for an answer, but there was no way I could give them one. No way at all!
In the end I just pushed my chair back from the table, got up and left the room.
As I lay down on my bed, I knew what they would be thinking. He can’t defend himself. Or worse. He won’t defend himself. So therefore, he must be gay. He simply must be.
‘Fuck ‘em all,’ I said aloud.
‘Fuck who?’ I suddenly heard Jason ask from my open doorway. My head snapped in his direction, and I saw him standing there, propped up against the frame of the door.
‘Nobody,’ I answered. ‘Just piss off and leave me alone.’
He made as if to leave, then stopped and looked back at me.
‘Don’t worry about him, Tim,’ he said. ‘You know what he’s like at the best of times. Bloody old fart. If you are gay, then who cares? I certainly don’t.’
‘Thanks,’ I said to him. ‘But I’m not!’
‘Whatever.’
He did leave me alone then, so I just switched off the light, shut the door and locked it, as I did every night – well, you wouldn’t want anyone barging in on you when you may be naked now would you? Then I lay myself back down on my bed, staring at shadows dancing on the ceiling. Sometime later, well, quite some time later, I finally drifted off to sleep.
It was two in the morning when I woke up, according to the bright red numbers on my clock radio, and I had just dreamt about Guy, as I seemed to be doing quite often these days.
This time he was rescuing me. Carrying me off to his castle on a silver horse, where he then laid me down on a soft bed that was surrounded by curtains and proceeded to slowly undress me, before making beautiful love to me.
When I awoke, I was covered with sweat, and had a roaring hard-on that was just dying to get out of the confines of the school clothes I suddenly realised I was still wearing. I got up and stripped off, then lay back down on my bed, totally naked, with the thoughts of Guy still fresh in my mind.
My friend. My hero. And now, my lover.
I ran one hand over my chest, gently brushing over each nipple, then down my abdomen, past my navel, until finally I reached my most private parts.
I was hard. Harder now than when I had woken up, and my balls were hanging loose but were full and just aching to be drained. Slowly I felt them, turning them over in my fingers, then pulling my scrotum outwards, stretching it, then releasing it, then running my hand up and down the length of my shaft, which jumped involuntarily at the touch.
It felt good. It felt better than good in fact, and before long I was once again getting into that old familiar rhythm that had rocked me to sleep so many times, on so many nights, since I had first discovered the joy and pleasure I could give myself. While I did this, the fingers of my other hand gently ran around my erect nipples, occasionally squeezing or pinching them.
I was moaning softly, and when the climax came, as it always did, great spurts of the sweetest of juices, hot to the touch, surged out over my chest and stomach. I kept the rhythm going until the last drops had been drained from me, then I ran my hands over my body, spreading the liquid all over me.
Even in the warm night, it turned cold very quickly, which only added to the sensation, and my enjoyment. With a smile on my face, I soon closed my eyes and within a few minutes I was once again sleeping.

When morning came, I awoke to the sounds of the radio and a song that I couldn’t recall having ever heard before. I couldn’t even recognise the voices of the man and woman who were singing it, but the song itself swept me up into a whirlwind of emotion.
When it had finished the announcer came on and said that it was from a new movie that had recently been released, called Moulin Rouge, and it was opening in town this coming weekend. I had heard about it. Christ, I think everyone had heard about it, but now, after hearing that song, I knew that I just had to see it.
Sometime through the night I must have decided that it was too cold after all and had crawled back underneath my blankets. I couldn’t remember doing it, but as my door was locked and no one could have come in, I guess that it must have been me.
I got out of bed and pulled on some boxer shorts and a T-shirt, then wandered down the hall to the toilet, had a piss and washed my face and hands, then went to the kitchen, where I found Mum and Jason having breakfast.
‘Good morning, dear,’ Mum said as I walked into the kitchen.
‘Good morning,’ I answered, then ruffled Jason’s hair as I passed him.
‘Knock it off,’ he said to me.
I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down at the table with them.
‘Are you alright this morning?’ Mum asked me.
‘Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?’
She just shrugged and took a sip from her coffee.
‘Where’s dad?’ I asked them both.
‘Already gone to work,’ Jason answered.
‘Hmmmppff.’
‘What is that supposed to mean?’ Mum asked.
‘Nothing.’
Jason just winked at me, but he didn’t say anything.
When I had finished my coffee I rinsed my cup in the sink, then headed for the bathroom to have a shower before leaving for school.
Ben was waiting for me on our corner today, with me being the one that was doing the dawdling for a change.
‘Hey, bud,’ he said to me as I reached him, and he fell into step beside me.
‘Hey, yourself,’ I answered.
‘What’s up? You look a little down.’
‘Nothing much. Dad just asked me if I was a poofter or something last night, when I told them all I had one of the leads in the musical.’
‘Fuck me,’ he replied.
I looked at him sideways and grinned.
He spotted me and then quickly said, ‘Huh, I meant, darn it!’
‘Damn,’ I said, laughing. ‘You can’t blame me for trying. You know that I’ve been wanting to do that for years.’
He threw me that puzzled look that I had seen so often over the years, then simply smiled and said, ‘Can I ask you something?’
‘Yeah, anything. You know that?’
‘Would you have ever done anything with me if I’d have ever said that I wanted to?’
It stopped me dead in my tracks.
‘What?’ I asked.
‘You heard me.’
‘Fuckin’ hell, Ben, I’ve been in lust with you since the day we met. How many years ago was that now? You knew that didn’t you?’
He nodded.
‘Are you saying that you have thought about it? About me, that way? About us?’ I asked him.
‘Well, maybe once or twice.’
‘What? And you never ever said anything! Why the hell not?’
‘Just forget I mentioned it will you?’ he said, then turned to walk away.
‘Nah,’ I said, trying to grab him by the arm. ‘You can’t get out of it that easy. Why the hell not?’
He pulled away and kept walking.
I stood where I was for a moment, seemingly rooted to the ground, watching him as he walked away from me, before I then snapped out of it and ran after him.
‘I’m sorry, mate,’ I said, as I caught up with him. ‘I shouldn’t have pushed the point like that.’
‘That’s okay,’ he answered.
‘So will you tell me?’
‘Tell you what?’
‘Why you never ever said anything.’
We walked on in silence for a little while more, then he simply said, ‘Because I was scared.’
‘What of?’ I asked him. ‘Not me, surely?’
‘Nah, not scared of you. I was scared of losing you. You know, as a friend.’
‘You serious?’
‘Yeah. I am.’
‘That ain’t going to happen, mate. But I am glad that you told me.’
‘You’re not mad at me?’
I shook my head. ‘No, mate. I’m not mad at you. You’re the best friend I’ve ever had, and I don’t ever want that to change. If it means that we are destined to never be lovers, then that is something I can live with. Hell, I’ve already been living with that knowledge for years.’
‘Thanks. I could hug you, you know, but that probably wouldn’t be appropriate.’
‘Don’t mention it. And no, I don’t think it would be appropriate,’ I said, laughing.
Just then we heard a familiar car horn on the street behind us and turned around just in time to see Guy pull up beside us.
‘So, do you guys want a lift, or what?’ he asked, leaning out the window.
* * *
The five of us, being Ben and Samantha, plus Cameron, Guy and myself, all met at lunch time, just as we seemed to be doing every day lately.
We were no longer being looked down upon as The Geeks by those in Samantha and Cameron’s year at school, which I was grateful for. Apparently, we had started to develop a reputation as being the masterminds behind the show, and people actually talked to us now. See, fame does have its good points, even in high school.
‘Hey, did you guys hear that new song on the radio this morning?’ Samantha asked.
‘Which one?’ I asked. ‘The one from Moulin Rouge?’
She nodded, and bit into her sandwich.
‘Yeah, I did actually,’ I answered. ‘What did you think of it?’
‘I loved it. I want to go see the movie now.’
‘Yeah, me too,’ I replied.
‘How about we all go Saturday night then?’ Ben suddenly asked.
We all agreed. Well, all except Cameron, who apparently already had plans.
I sensed that there was still some underlying hostility there, which was being directed at Ben. Nothing had been said, but every now and then I would catch him looking at Ben in a way that I didn’t like.
I hoped I was wrong, but I had this feeling I wasn’t. The first chance I got, I had decided, I would ask Samantha about him. And more specifically, about them.
When lunch time was over we all went our separate ways, and Ben and Guy and I soon found ourselves bored to tears in the back of our Economics class.
‘Have you guys done any thinking about the sets for the show yet?’ I whispered to them as old Hawkeye – a.k.a. Mr Hawkins – tried in vain to explain, yet again, the laws of Supply and Demand.
Guy just shook his head, but Ben said, ‘Actually, yeah, I’ve got a few ideas.’
‘Cool,’ I said, clearly impressed that Ben had even taken the time to put some thought into something like that. So too, it seemed, was Guy.
‘I’ll tell you all about it when we are out of here.’
We spent the next twenty minutes, until the end of the lesson, basically being bored out of our brains, along with everyone else in the class, but we managed to make it through to the end of the period without falling asleep. When the bell rang, we were out of there in a flash, with thoughts of the next free period uppermost in our minds, which we always got to spend in the common room that was shared by years eleven and twelve.
‘So? What is your idea?’ Guy asked Ben as we headed down the path towards the common room.
‘Well, you know how they usually have these big painted backdrops and lots of props for shows like this?’ Ben said.
Guy and I both said, ‘Yeah.’
‘Well, they would cost a fortune, wouldn’t they?’
We shrugged.
‘I suppose so,’ I answered.
‘Well, what if, instead of doing a heap of different sets for each scene, we use something like slides or film or something that we just show on one backdrop. It would hardly cost anything at all, which would keep Snowy happy, and they would be as easy as anything to change, all we would have to do is just press a button.’
He mentioned a few other simple ideas as well, and the more he spoke, the more excited he was becoming about the whole project, and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it as well.
‘We’ll have to go see Snowy about it then,’ Guy said, when Ben had finished, and Ben and I both agreed.

That night at dinner I once again got the cold shoulder from my father. I guessed that there would be a fair bit of that between now and the opening night.
Mum and Jason were both fairly quiet as well, which only added to the uneasy feeling around our table. As soon as I could, I excused myself and retreated to my room, taking the telephone with me and deciding that I needed to give Guy a call. I needed someone to talk to after all.
I dialled the numbers and heard it start to ring at the other end, then I heard his sweet voice say hello.
‘Hi, babe,’ I said to him, then heard him giggle on the other end of the line.
‘Hi, yourself,’ he said to me. ‘How’s the family tonight? Anything more said?’
‘Nah, not really. Things were pretty cool though.’
‘Sorry to hear that. Do you feel like getting warmed up a bit then?’
‘What did you have in mind?’
‘Thought we could go for a drive someplace quiet. Will they let you go out? Or can you get out of the house easy enough?’
‘Yeah, I could always sneak out the window. Will you pick me up?’
‘Alright, meet me on the street in about ten minutes then.’
‘Sure thing.’
We disconnected and then I took the phone back out into the hallway and placed it back on its stand, stopping at the doorway to the lounge room and seeing that my family were all watching television.
‘Good night then,’ I said to them.
‘Good night, dear,’ mum answered.
Jason gave me a half-hearted wave.
Dad grunted something which sounded something like, ‘G’night,’ but I couldn’t be too sure.
I retreated once more to by bedroom and locked the door, then changed from my school uniform of white shirt and grey trousers, into something a little less noticeable, settling on a pair of jeans and dark polo shirt.
A few minutes later I was crouching under one of the bushes in our front yard, watching the world go by on our quiet street. A dog that was being taken for a walk on the other side of the street by its owner stopped and looked in my direction, then growled briefly, before being dragged on by its owner. A young couple out for a romantic stroll stopped right in front of our house and embraced in a passionate kiss beneath the streetlamp. A few cars came by, and I felt my heart skip a beat each time I heard one approach, but each time I was to be disappointed.
I looked at my watch and saw that the ten minutes were well and truly up, then I heard it. The unmistakable sound of Guy’s car as it came cruising along the street.
As he approached, I left my hiding place, jumped over our low front fence and quickly went out onto the footpath, where I waited beneath one of the trees.
Guy must have seen me, as he pulled up right beside me. I opened the door and climbed in.
‘Hope I haven’t kept you waiting?’ he said as he leaned over and gave me a kiss.
‘Nah. That’s cool.’
‘Where to then?’ he asked.
I shrugged. ‘How about you surprise me?’
In the pale light I saw him grin, then he put the car into gear and pulled away from the curb.
A few minutes later we were parked along the creeklands in the middle of town and were out of the car, walking hand in hand along the creek to a quiet spot, well away from where anyone would be able to see us. Guy had even thought to bring a blanket, which he now carried under one arm.
When we were far enough away from any place where we thought we may be interrupted, we stopped, then Guy spread the blanket out on the ground for us. We both lay down, our arms touching, our heads almost touching, and just stared up at the night sky above us.
‘Beautiful, isn’t it?’ I whispered to him, as I reached over and took his hand in mine.
‘Yes. It is,’ he whispered back. He squeezed my hand and I turned my head to face him.
‘Thanks for this,’ I whispered. ‘I needed something like this tonight. It’s just great to get out of the house.’
‘Anytime,’ he answered, then propped himself up on one elbow and leant over and kissed me.
I kissed him back. Our tongues eagerly exploring each other’s mouths. Our hands running over each other’s bodies.
I know that we may have fooled around like this on many an afternoon before this, but somehow this seemed different. Perhaps it was the rebellious nature of how we came to be together tonight, or perhaps it was just that our relationship was heading to a higher level. I’m not sure why, but this night, being with Guy out under the stars, seemed to be something special.
Slowly, Guy reached down to my belt and with one hand managed to undo the buckle. Then he fumbled with the button on my jeans and my zipper. I could feel my rapidly hardening member straining to escape the confines of my clothing and so I quickly gave Guy some help in letting things out.
The cool air on my skin, followed by the hot touch of his hand, sent a ripple of excitement through me.
Guy’s hand reached under my polo shirt and caressed the skin of my abdomen, then slowly inched higher, until he was brushing my nipples. He gently squeezed one of them and I moaned. Then he pinched the other. I moaned again.
‘How did you know I love that?’ I whispered.
He chuckled quietly and said, ‘I just guessed.’
I reached down and pushed at the shorts he was wearing, allowing his own cock to spring clear, then gently ran my hands over it, feeling its velvety firmness.
Now, this wasn’t the first time that we had gone this far, however, as we were usually in a hurry to avoid being caught by anyone, this was the first time that we were able to take things at our own pace. It felt different. Better even. It felt more wonderful than ever before.
I took off my polo shirt, then pulled off Guy’s t-shirt as well, and all of a sudden we were both nearly naked. All that remained were our pants that were now down around our ankles.
It was a beautiful night and what we shared under the stars was wonderful, unlike anything that I had felt before. The cool night air on our hot and sweaty skin was invigorating. The sounds of the night were somehow soothing. The knowledge that we were doing this right in the middle of the town was somehow exciting.
Guy kissed me again, then worked his way lower, caressing my neck, teasing my nipples, licking my navel. Each touch from him sent another shudder through me. When he reached my cock he teased the head of it with his tongue, before kissing it along its full length, down to my scrotum, then back up to its head, before then taking it all in his mouth and swallowing me entirely.
I could feel the pressure building in me as he skillfully worked his magic.
God how I was loving this. He would build up the pressure in me, then relax. Edging me, teasing me relentlessly like this for ages.
‘Don’t do this to me,’ I pleaded with him. ‘Just let me cum.’
He chuckled softly in the darkness, then swallowed me again.
Once again the pressure built, but this time, instead of relaxing me, he let it continue to build. My body was shaking. One of my legs was trembling, but still he worked away on me, until finally, just when I thought I was going to explode, I did just that, filling his mouth with my hot juices.
He sucked until he had sucked me dry, then when there was nothing more for me to give, he slipped his lips off me and brought his face up to mine.
In the faint light I could see his lips glistening, just before they met mine. His mouth opened, as did mine, and I was suddenly tasting my own juices for the very first time. Salty, slightly tart, yet still sweet.
We kissed for what seemed like ages, then he broke away and cocked his head back and to one side, as if he were appraising me.
‘What?’ I asked him.
‘Do you want to go further?’ he asked, leaning forward and whispering into my ear. ‘Can I . . . errr . . . fuck you?’
I was suddenly taken aback by the directness of his question. It somehow didn’t suit the mood that we had created.
‘I . . . errr . . .’ I stammered.
‘Ssshhh, it’s okay,’ he said, placing a finger on my lips.
‘I . . . ummm . . . just don’t think I’m ready for that just yet,’ I eventually said to him, after an awkward silence.
He kissed me again and whispered, ‘That’s okay,’ then rolled away from me onto his back.
I know he said that it was okay, but just from the tone of his voice I couldn’t help but have this feeling he was disappointed.
I rolled over onto him and kissed him.
‘Thank you for being so understanding,’ I said to him, then proceeded to kiss him again and again, working my way downwards to his neck, his chest, his abdomen, before repeating the service that he had just provided me.
I could hear him moaning in the darkness, so I guessed that he was enjoying it, and when he came in my mouth, I too gave him a taste of his own juices.
Afterwards, we lay there in each other’s arms and just listened to the sounds of the night, and the sounds of the town that surrounded us, before finally deciding that we needed to get home.
We drove the short distance to my place in silence and he parked a couple of doors down, before we then embraced and kissed each other goodnight. I got out of the car and shut the door, then watched as he drove away, before walking towards the house, which I found to be in darkness.
I looked at my watch and noticed that it was almost midnight. No wonder all the lights were out. At least there wasn’t anyone up who might hear me come in.
Trying to be as quiet as I could, I crept in through my window and then pulled it shut behind me. Then, just as I turned around to walk over to my bed, I was suddenly stopped short, as someone hiding in the darkness whispered, ‘And just where the fuck have you been?’
