Operating covertly in London, CSIS Senior Intelligence Officer Andrew Carter lives a double life, juggling diplomatic appearances with dangerous intelligence work. His uneasy calm is shattered by the murder of Arthur Finch.

Andrew's investigation quickly unravels a terrifying state-sponsored plot. As the pieces connect, he uncovers an audacious scheme: to orchestrate a catastrophic submarine disaster  facilitated by a deep-cover mole within the Royal Navy.

With MI5's trust hanging by a thread and his own family unknowingly exposed, Andrew races against time.

This story will cover men and women doing what they feel has to be done to achieve their goals.

This story is the first of a new series, that is a continuation from an older series.

Carter's Breach in itself is a fast paced spy thriller with a well thought out and intriguing plot that'll have you burning through the chapters as you weave in and out through the subterfuge, in the classic battle to save the world.

If you've read any of the previous books from the Carter series you'll be slapped in the face from the nostalia of those memories as previous characters reprise their roles that made those stories great.  You'll also continue to feel the aching love that Andrew and Will Carter started to build way back in Carter's Army.

It has been a while since we've seen these characters in action, and this book does their story justice as it continues the lives of the characters we remember.

Awesome job Topher.

This is the first Andrew Carter story, and continuation of the Carter series.

We join Andrew who is still a CSIS, his husband Will who is High Commissioner for Canada in London and there son Jacob.

Andrew somehow manages to juggle life as a diplomat and a secret spy.

But Andrew suddenly finds himself into the middle of  state sponsored terrorist sponsored actives, or is it.

Andrew has to work fast when his family are threatened, all because of a mole deeply installed in the Royal Navy.

That is threatening the trust of M15 and involving Canada, all because of a submarine.

Read on to discover much more.

Rarely does a story elicit so many emotions in a person at the same time but this did for me. It is a grounded story about good  ordinary people, albeit intelligent ones, doing extraordinary things..It is a story that sets one on the path of introspection..One that dares to teach us how far we would go for our loved ones. To show us that doing the right thing is the hardest thing imaginable as it comes at a cost. This tale is worth it!

I totally enjoyed this story. I was challenged and worried by all the bad actors with evil intent. Trying to steal a nuclear submarine, blow up innocent people, attempt to cause nuclear disasters, murderous spies, and also face bloody internal bureaucratic fights impairing national security  are only some of the issues to be faced .Andrew and Will Carter are central , helpful an skilled  players in the drama. It is a worthy read with suspense galore.

Carter's Breach is a story that will keep readers anxiously on the edge of their seats with suspense, intrigue and a slew of dramatic events. Sprinkled in are fascinating references to true life events of the past.

Following along with a fascinating array of old and new characters some of which just might bring about surprises as to who to root for in the end.

This is a spellbinding story of family love, enduring support and complete joy in the life they have built together. There are terror plots, corruption, political upheaval, intelligence agency competition, and treason. You will be hooked by this story after the first few sentences. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
