The plot thickens!...Nothing pleases me more than seeing Sophia and Arthur's schemes come to nothing. All the hate and plotting against Julian only for him to end up getting everything they wanted..I would go crazy😂😂
I liked how Theo gave 'lip' to the evil spirit..that was super awesome...Nothing sucks powerful beings like ignoring them...it bruises their ego a great deal.
Oh.my!.To borrow from Gen Z speech...you cooked with this chapter @CasualWanderer82🫡....I do not even know what to say...Am that 'speechless'
That being said am I weird for feeling a little 'sad' for the clever ones?..Because I have a feeling a reckoning is imminent.
I don't think am ever going to be stop being in awe of how you are able to craft characters ...The description of Mouse is just a class of it own
Thank you!
Yes..there is that angle too. The scheming am talking about was in his thought patterns regarding Elyssa and Temogam.
In addition, I personally feel that his loyalty to Vargan has run it's course so to speak
I was talking in terms of being scheming...He is scheming too. Every thought ,as shown in this chapter, indicates he is a player of the game of politik. Maybe because he grew up in an environment where it was all about scheming for power .
I think @Laura S. Fox is on a mission of sorts to get the Best red herrings Award for this one...because the amount that have been dropped so far warrants a case study
That being said I cackled reading the part where Ali urges Larry to ram it deep and hard...eh...
Which brings me to his attitude towards the Golden Princeling ..there seems some resentment in there an indication of unresolved business..
Spartan is indeed an apt description..I have been thinking the same thing....
Only you would think the bleak Veridien could use a dose of the Rocky Horror show..haha
Whoa...just speechless here ...that last part of the chapter was something else ...
I always revert back to biblical King solomon's proverbs...you know the one man proposes,God disposes..This chapter is a clear vindication ..
Thank you @CasualWanderer82...it is good to have you 'back'
Am in awe of Julian...He built himself up ..Anybody else might have completely broken down but not him. That is resilience embodied...
My deepest respect for him comes from the fact that he completely excised himself from his family. That is something some folks in real life try to do but never achieve..
Thank you @Nuno R.F.C.R..You just keep surprising me ..
I don't even know where to begin with this chapter..I mean we have always known that this day was coming..but knowing so does not quite prepare one for the real thing when it finally happens
That being said...I knew Victor was despicable from reading him in the first chapter but even I was not prepared for what we find out in this chapter...It reminded me of that saying absolute power corrupts absolutely ...There is this common phrase I hear people use that our worst enemies or people who hurt us are those closest to us. Catherine and Victor are just the worst..eh.
That you can invoke such a visceral reaction is testament of your craft Sir..Thank you!
