Attack of the Hellbenders - Prologue. Prologue

FRANKFORT, KY: There have been reports along the Kentucky River here in Frankfort of giant lizard-like creatures. Kirsty Scott, a Conservation Officer for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) indicated that the sightings are likely exaggerations of hellbender Salamanders. The hellbender can grow to as large as twenty-nine inches (74 cm).

“Hellbenders of the size being reported do not exist. The reports of hellbenders of six to eight feet long can only be hoaxes.”

Would Kirsty be proven wrong?
