These Bloody Fists

THESE BLOODY FISTS (1).png

At the elite St. Patrick's high school, Ulises is a king by birthright: wealthy, adored, untouchable, ruling a court of teammates and pacts of silence. Fidel is everything Ulises is not: a knight without armor, battered by words and fists, surviving on grit and a body that has learned to endure. When a forbidden moment pulls them together, fear turns the king into a coward and leaves the knight to bleed alone.

William King

The author has a very good style of narrative, carrying the story forward with the essential moments which are marvellously described. There is just enough information and never too much. It is a writing style that keeps the reader engaged and turning the pages whilst also wanting more.

The story itself evokes the different lives of two teenagers growing up, going to the same school where each boy has their own challenges to face. There is a message in this story about, love and forgiveness, but also about harassment and survival, privilege and wealth versus poverty.

It is an emtional tale of first love and triumph through adversity. I highly recommend it.

A somewhat fimilar premise .The setting  a private school you have two students one from the "right' side of town very popular and a star athlete the other from the "wrong side of the tracks and is gay and gets harassed and worst by his classmates so polar opposites. The issue Uli the popular jock is closeted and has an attraction to Fidel the ostracized student. This is not a unique story but it is told from the cultural perspective of the country Argentina where the author of this story lives and it is that element that makes this story unique.Won't say anymore because I would be giving too much away except it is highly recommended
